26: Oh, (Y/N)!

It was finally warmer again, and, to celebrate the re-opening of the pool season, Jon and Kitty threw another party, putting it in as a congratulation party for the somewhat newly engaged couple, who's wedding was just a month away.

(Y/N) wore a cute little blue dress, one that she favored. Kitty pulled her hair back and up into a nice ponytail, clipping a precious bow over the hair tie.

Everyone sat around a table, questions about the upcoming wedding flying around. (Y/N) was interested as she heard flower girl, but her excitement turned sour as she heard the position was assigned to Lottie, who was now two years old and able to walk around like a big girl.

Frowning, (Y/N) stormed over to the poolside, staring at her reflection in the water.

"Be careful, sweetheart!" Jon called as she inched closer to the edge. "Lottie! Charlotte, no!"

(Y/N) felt a cold hand on her arm, and she jumped, loosing her footing and falling into the pool.

"(Y/N)!" Kitty called, and Evan literally jumped out of his seat and dropped his phone and wallet before diving in after the little girl.

(Y/N) felt strong arms wrap around her and she gasped for air as she broke to the surface, clinging to Evan, crying.

"E-E-Evwan." She hiccuped.

"It's okay, (Y/N)." He kissed her forehead and held her to him. "Evwan's got you."

Hello, internet!

I apologize for the lack of updates, I've been a little preoccupied now that I have obtained a prize greater than words and so, so valuable.

And that, ladies and gentleman, is the heart of my boyfriend, Ethan. Lately--well, this past week--I've been happier than I've been in a long while.
