The cold fall air hit me as I got out of my car. Welcome back to hell I thought as I as walked into Waterhill high school, the most prestigious high school in Maryland, This is my fourth year attending Waterhill and I'm so ready to leave. As I walk in I put my head down and avoid eye contact from the "popular" kids in school. Waterhill is the "dream school" for most people.
We have the tops athletes attend here, the highest grades, the most money, everything here is new and always up to date. People die to go to schools like this, unless you're me, I only attend this school because they practically begged me. My test scores were so high in middle school they come to my home to convince me to attend instead of going to Parker high school. The school across the street from me, the school where all the delinquents go, I walked into English and sat in the back like normal.
My best friend Marcus sat next to me on the right. Half way through the class period the teacher, Mr. Connor was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Ah you must be Silver." He said as the most beautiful girl walked through the door. Her long black hair fell to her back. Her hazel green eyes matched the green in her necklace. Her clear caramel skin was perfect. She was wearing a tight body con dress that showed off every single curve on her amazing body. She looked at me and I had instant butterflies.
She waved to the class and introduced herself. "Hi, my name is Silver, I am a senior and I'm excited to finish off my last year here,"
"Thank you, Please take a seat next to my best student Christina. She will try to catch you up on the unit." He said as he pointed at me. She walked over and sat to my left."Hi I'm silver" she said smiling at me.
"Hey my name is Christina but everyone calls me Chris." I said.
"Why Chris isn't that a boy's name?" she asked.
"Yeah well I guess they call me that because I'm a stud" I said trying to lighten the mood.
"A stud?" she whispered confused.
"A gay girl that dresses like a boy" I said and her expression changed.
"Oh okay." She said and looked forward back at the teacher.
As the class period continued she would occasionally look over awkwardly with me. I started to feel insecure. I continued through the day seeing here through the hallway, each time I was her there seemed to be more and more of the "Popular kids" surrounding her. Each time we made eye contact she would instantly look away. I didn't have any more classes with her that day.
I looked at her schedule before I left and since we have A day, B day schedule here it have 2 classes with her tomorrow. When the final day bell rung I walked to my car and saw silver running for the bus but it didn't stop. She screamed out in frustration. She must have saw me standing next to my car because she started to walk over.
"Hey can you give me a ride home I missed my bus." She said with the saddest pouting face.
"Yeah sure" I said getting in. I started the car and I looked over at her. She looked nervous so I turned on the radio. I don't know if this girl doesn't like me or what but she sure is sending me a lot of mixed signals. As she started giving me directions I realized she lived around the corner of me. We live in the big houses that people dreamed about. I honestly don't know why they put the delinquent school so close to us. Most people around here don't even consider sending their children there.
