Once I got to work, I clean the med-jack things first. I don't like to do a work with a dirty stuff. After that, I put it back in the rack until one of the Serum falled. I took it and examine it carefully.

The printed words seems familiar.

The room doors open make me jumped in shock. I turned to look and see Jeff stood there while grinned.

"Can't you knock?" I asked while glaring at him.

"Sorry, Tess." Jeff apologised. "What you got there?" He asked.

"Nothing. This Serum fall from the rack when I put the Med-Jack things." I stated and gave the Serum to him. Jeff took the Serum and put it back in the rack.

"We're out of Serum." Jeff said. "Gladly it doesn't fall into pieces."

"Sorry. By the way what is the Serum worked for?" I asked. Jeff glancing at me before spoke.

"Well it work for someone who got stung by the Grievers. They will go through the Changing and they will got a little bit of their past memory. Thats all." Jeff stated. I nodded in acknowledgement.

No ones was really coming in that much, until after the lunch was when the boys started to hurt themselves. All the three Med-Jack, including me were busy. Jeff came in again with another boy.

"Another Slicer, Tessa!" Jeff called while the boy came in with a nasty slice on his arms.

"Okay. Sit down on the bed. I'll patch you up." I said, before Jeff left while the Slicer went and sat on the bed.

I pulled open the rack doors and pulled out a new rolled of bandages and a cloth to wipe away the blood. I went over the sink where I placed the bowl full of water I had set up and dipped in the cloth. I squeezed out most of the water, before walking over to the boy and sat beside him. He was holding his arm with a painful look on his face. I gently took his arm and placed it on my lap, before wiping away the blood that had spread over his skin. He winced in pain, make me stopped and look at him.

"I'm sorry. I'll be more careful." I said.

He looked at me unsurely before nodding. I continued my work.

"How did you get this cut? Its pretty bad." I asked before starting placed the new cloth on his slice to prevent the germs infection. After that, I wrapped the fresh bandage around his arm.

"I was cuttin' the meat until one of my Slicers friend accidently sliced it." He replied. I nodded before tieing off the end of the bandage.

"There you go. Done." I stated and offering him a smile.

"Thank you!" He said before stood up. "I'm Kent by the way."

"Tessa." I replied. Kent? Wait! He was the one that overreacting about my present when I first got here. I walked over the sink with the cloth to wash out the blood.

"Make sure to be more careful next time!" I stated.

"Got that!" He replied before happily walked out the Homestead. I shook my head while giggling.

I crouched down down in front of the bowl. I dipped out the cloth and squeezed out the water, before placing it over the headboard to dry. I wiped my hands on a towel before walking out the room.

Minho should be back soon, so I wanted to wait for him. I walked out the Homestead and saw the Gladers were just finishing up their work and started head to Frypan to get their dinner. I went over the Maze entrance and waited there, leaning my back against the hard cold wall.
