Chapter32: Infatuated Kade

"Kady baby! Finally, you're here!" I exclaimed as Kadence made her way in my flat with her three luggage. Honestly, how?

"Ugh. . . this is heavy." She whined. I looked at her, she's also carrying the Armani I gave her last birthday.

"Yeah," I remained in the comfort of my thick blankie while watching The Big Bang Theory on Netflix "you should settle in."

"Thanks for the help!" She sarcastically retorts

I smiled. "Welcome,"

"Unbelievable!"

I laughed looking at her as she make her way to me. Or try to.

Her scowl deepened as she realized that I'm not gonna leave the warm embrace of my comfortable couch "some friend you are." She mumbled and I smiled wildly

"I'm letting you stay, am I!"

I heard rustling noises behind me and the sound of her luggage rolling was all I could hear. Well, barely hear. I'm watching Netflix.

She threw herself beside me "I know, I'm grateful."

"How's your trip to Jamaica?"

"Amazing! Met a lot of good people."

"Nice to hear that."

"They made me eat exotic animals. To be honest I don't even know what I ate!"

We laughed and she excitedly told me about her trip to Jamaica, Indonesia, Netherland and Finland. Telling me various stories about the history of the places and the rich culture each have. She also told me about the native people she had met.

"Sounds like a trip!" I said once she's done

"Yeah, I never thought I'd enjoy being alone. Anyways how's work?"

"Work is fine."

"Did ya get the my birthday present?"

"Yes!" I beamed "I like it. I was gonna wear it tomorrow evening. By the way you have got to come and meet my friends!"

"Glad you liked it." She smiled "what's happening tomorrow evening?"

"It's my friend's 8th anniversary. His mom's super rich so it'll be fancy."

"Good thing I brought my dresses!"

"Yey dresses!"

We laughed and talked until our throat felt dry. And when we got tired of each other. We skyped Chris and Cory, and Chase and Rhea.

To be honest. Nakakainggit sila. But I tried to be happy for them. I saw the way Kade stare at the two couples inside the screen, as they talk about their crazy lives and all the while, Chase is being his self by twerking. Some things never change. I thought. Kade must've thought that too because she's shaking her head trying to focus on what Rhea's saying. They didn't noticed it but I do. Kade was longingly staring and I know I am too.

In the squad, we're the ones who was left out... We didn't have our happy ending. It's okay though. I accepted the fact that the man I love left me after he confessed that he loves me too.

Yeah, I'm fine.

But Kade, though. She's not particularly interested in anyone. Just this longing feeling in her chest.

That night, I made dinner for the both of us. We spent our time watching some stupid horror movies that I'm now a fond of.
