Retour en arriere

He listened her every word like a devotee as if it was a recitation of a Holy Book and she added, taking out the middle page of the book that had some lyrics written on it And You know! I wrote this piece when you were angry on me for that Soha blunder. That was the time I got know the depth of my love for you and your importance in my life. More than eager to know her feelings that she had penned down in something he was sure to be beautiful, he shifted his gaze from her face onto the page to read but was abruptly stopped as she covered the page with her hand; blocking his view. Perplexed, he gave her a confused frown and adding to his muddle, she jumped out of his lap and rushed inside. A couple of minutes later, he saw her returning along with his guitar and finally ebbing away his obfuscation, she said, adjusting herself with the guitar on a couch opposite to the swing Woh! Actually these are not just the lyrics. Jab tumne mujhe guitar play karna sikhaya tha uske baad I composed a melody for this. And converted it into a song. For you. Bohot baar socha ke tumhe sunao per kabhi hua hi nahi. His lips twitched into a small smile - already moved by the fact that she had indited a song for him and he said, more like a plea Please Sing! I am dying to hear it. Passing him a grin, she tuned the guitar and began while strumming a soft tune:

'I Mean Every Word of it Manik' He smiled at her statement and then she intoned:

You're the light, you're the night

You're the color of my blood

You're the cure, you're the pain

You're the only thing I wanna touch

Never knew that it could mean so much, so much

(The first five lines only were so much sensitive and vivid; that his eyes brimmed imagining how she must've felt when she had written them; what might have she gone through on getting hurt by the person she was insanely in love with)

You're the fear, I don't care

'Cause I've never been so high

Follow me through the dark

Let me take you past our satellites

You can see the world you brought to life, to life

(He smiled in the midst of his tears; knowing the world she mentioned was no one else but him; but at the same time his heart wrenched - remembering how he had treated her that star - crossed night)

So love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do

Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do

Touch me like you do, to-to-touch me like you do

What are you waiting for?

(Another reason that withheld her from disclosing this song to him was the guilt - she was sure would build inside him for giving her pain; when he would come to know what she felt then. And she could see her envision turn into reality; as his red - rimmed eyes lowered when she tried engaging them in a soul - talk with hers. But no matter what; she couldn't let it happen and so, she moved closer to him; cupped his face and crooned; staring into his eyes)

Fading in, fading out

On the edge of paradise

Every inch of your skin is a holy grail I've got to find.
