all too well

Good boys chase the good girls wheras those good girls chase the bad boys. Why though? It's simple. Bad boys are a competition. Girls always pity everyone and feel bad for boys with a dark past. They always offer their help because they want to know why those boys turned into so called bad boys. Girls are curious. They want to dig their past and learn more about them. They want to be the only people who know the real boy behind his bad boy facade.

...

I was currently sitting on my bed with my bathrobe covering my body and my phone inbetween my hands. I had to check my phone constantly because I was waiting for a reply from Mandy to get ready right in time.

Once I came home from school, I ran straight into the bathroom and took a long and relaxing shower. Afterwards, I wrapped my hair into a towel to let it air dry a bit before I had to use the hairdryer. To be honest, I was just way too lazy to comb it because it was tangled and I didn't want to blow dry it every time, but I guess I had to.

My phone vibrated in my hands and I clicked onto the message I just received from Mandy.

From: Mandy: I'll pick you up at 6pm. Be ready and don't forget to dress sexy! ;-)

I laughed at the message and just replied with a simple "Ok" before tossing my phone back onto my bed. Even though I still had two hours to go, I knew that I would be late and get Mandy angry like all the past times we decided to spend time together or whenever we had to go somewhere.

I never know what to wear or how to style my hair although I watch youtube videos all the damn time which - obviously - weren't helpful at all. At least I knew how to apply my makeup the right way, I said to myself.

A knock on my door pulled me out of my thoughts and I turned around to look at it, shouting "Come in!"

The door opened slowly and Miles revealed himself rather distracted with his phone and walked in without looking at me at all. He shut the door quietly  before he sat down onto my desk chair. I stared at him and actually waited for him to say something but he was just too occupied with his phone that he probably didn't even realize that he walked into my room.

"Are you going out?" Miles asked from across the room and I turned my head sideways to look at him.

"Is it that obvious?" I blushed lightly.

"No, I just guessed," he shrugged. I didn't know what to respond, so I stuck my head back into my wardrobe and started to search for a cute dress, but failed. I sighed and decided to wear something else instead but I had nothing else to wear that would fit Mandy's ideal of sexy.

"Finally!" I shouted to myself and grabbed the white sleevless turtleneck top and a pair of black skinny jeans I had just found, out of the mess also known as my wardrobe.

"A party?" I heard Miles ask from across the room again.

"Yes," I simply answered and kept admiring the pieces I just found in my hands. I knew that this wasn't sexy enough for Mandy, but at least I had something to wear now.

"Wait, are you going to Will's party?" He furrowed his eyebrows at me as a frown took over his face.

"Wait, are you too?" I wondered in excitement. I don't know why I was so excited about it because we couldn't hang out anyway but having him there would be nice I guess.

"No." He shrugged nonchalantly before he continued to distract himself with his phone like he did before. "You know that Andrew is going to be there too, right?" He asked, looking back up at me with what seemed like concern in his eyes.
