all too well

Girls always fall for the boys they promise not to fall for. Literally every girl feels insecure and ugly and when they find someone who makes them understand how beautiful they are (even if they lie), they develop some sort of feelings for that guy. Especially those girls who never get noticed or acknowledged by a boy. Those type of girls are easier to fool and therefore easier to break. Those type of girls are not used to receive compliments, they are not used to feel special or loved. Boys try to push their self-esteem high but cause it to sink even lower than before. They make those girls feel even more worthless than they felt before.

...

After nearly half an hour of driving and no talking, we arrived somewhere beautiful. The scenery was breathtaking since it was autumn and the light blue sky was illuminated by the rays of a sallow sun. For me autumn was the best and most enchanting season because of all the lovely colors and the smell of cinnamon. I loved the way the cold autumn breeze picked up the crimson red or golden orange leaves from the ground every once in a while and made them look like fire dancing on the streets. Autumn made the world seem alive, it unfolded the world in vivid colors.

Miles parked the car right next to the road and turned the engine off before he turned his body towards mine. When I noticed his intense stare on me, I turnd sideways too with a playful smile on my dry lips as I admired the beauty in front of my own eyes.

He smiled. "Are you ready, Rose Johnson?" Ready for what? I wondered.

"What for?" I asked after seconds of complete silence because I lost myself in the clouds that were scuttled across the sky.

"To have the best day of your life." His smile grew brighter as he said those words out loud and I could literally hear his excitement through his voice.

"I already have the best day of my life planned, so this can't be the best day of my life," I laughed.

"Then let's say this is going to be the second best day of your life. You'll even think about this day in thirty years." He chuckled, which caused my lips to form a bigger smile and I had to look down to stop myself from blushing.

"Come on, less talking more having fun!" He beamed, so I opened the door of the car and jumped straight out into the cold. Even though the sun was slighly shining, it was still way too cold. Welcome to Minnesota. I shifted and heard the sound of leaved crunching under my feet.

Miles walked towards the trunk and grabbed a grey sweater which he pulled over his head immediately. "Cold, huh?" I smiled.

"Well yeah, sadly." He rubbed his hands together to create heat and I kneeled down to grab myself a crisp golden leave. It was so huge and colorful that I couldn't stop myself from admiring it up close.

"I hope we're not going to spend too much time outside because we both have no jacket." I pointed out the obvious as I let go of the leaf.

"I actually planned on spending it outside, but look at the clouds coming from the south." He pointed towards the dark clouds making their ways to our direction. Rain is the last thing we could probably use right now.

"Should we go home and continue some other day instead?" I asked while putting my hands into my warm pockets as I jumped from one leg to the other.

"No, we'll stay here. Come on," he grabbed my hand in his and pulled me to wherever he was heading.

We walked for at least 10 minutes until we arrived at the beach and stopped right before our shoes could touch the sand. I have never seen anything more beautiful or as fascinating as this view. The colors of the water were so astonishing, a beautiful light shade of blue kissed a darker shade of blue and the waves just gave them an even more beautiful effect. The sand was a dark brown color and seemed wet. You could also spot a lighthouse nearby which added another great effect to the already magnificent scenery.
