Right as I walked into our hotel room, I got tackled by a hug from Piper. "Let's get you ready for your date!" she shrieked.

Laughing, I let her guide me over to the bathroom where she sat me down and studied my face. "Hm," she pondered. "Should I go with a warm, glowing, all-natural look? Or should I go all out with a deep smoky eye?"

"Can you do an in-between?" I asked. "Like, a more toned down, warm smoky eye?"

"I could arrange that," Piper confirmed. She started with my foundation, and then did the eye makeup and completed the look with mascara. "Perfect!" she announced as she stood back and admired her work. "Now, we need to figure out what you're going to wear."

"I tried asking Niall about that, but he was no help," I explained as I rolled my eyes.

"Really? What was his response?"

"Uh.. well.. hetoldmeIwouldlookbeautifulinanything," I said quickly.

Piper looked over at me curiously. "He said what? Slow down."

"He said I would look beautiful in anything," I mumbled.

She raised her eyebrows in surprise. "He said what? He said you would look beautiful in anything?"

My silence provided the answer she was looking for. "You heartbreaker," she smirked. "Getting all the boys."

Rolling my eyes, I sighed. "He was just being nice."

"Okay, you keep thinking that," she said.

"Speaking of boys," I smiled. "How's Louis?"

Her cheeks flushed, and she attempted to appear emotionless as she replied, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Mm hm," I smirked back. "Sure you don't. Don't think I haven't noticed. I see how you look at him."

"Liv, I've loved Louis since, forever. Of course I'm going to look at him like that. He's bae."

"Except you didn't really know him like you do now. And he looks at you the same way," I stated.

She laughed. "You're hilarious. There's no way that the Louis Tomlinson would ever like me."

Sighing, I shook my head. Piper was always oblivious when a guy started liking her. Whenever I told her that a boy had a crush on her, she would brush it off in disbelief. She never seemed to realize her self-worth, which bugged me.

"The looks he give you say otherwise," I told her gently. "And I mean, it's a little obvious. Except the only people who don't see it is you two lovebirds."

"We're just friends," Piper shrugged. "That's the way it is, and that's the way it'll always be."

I gave up trying to convince her of Louis' feelings and let her drag me towards the closet to pick out my dress.

She rummaged through my clothes until her eyes lit up. "This one," she announced, "is perfect." Piper pulled out a deep purple dress so dark that it almost looked black.
