I'm going to start this off by apologizing. This is not how I expected posting 'Rivalry' would go. to be honest, I expected to be done with it by now. But this year has been by far, the worst year of my life, and even the one thing that I can control (which is my writing) has not gone as I would like. So please bear with me, I do plan to have this completely done before the end of the year.
In happier news, I am officially realizing The It Group as a paperback and a hardcover, and you guys get to pick the release date. Just head over to my website for the details!
Now on to the story!

East Land Prep.

Monday, October 22. 6:40 A.M.

Kelly steps inside the meeting room in the main building of ELP. The room is empty when they walk in, and they set the eight colored bags they are carrying on top of the long black table.

"Okay," Ashley starts off, taking off her black trench coat. "So, this is how we're going to do this." Digging inside her purse, Ashley brings out a blue notecard and hands it Kelly. "I'll start it off, then Angela you're going to divide them by grade. Preferably by putting them in the four corners." Angela nods, eyeing the four corners of the room. "And Kelly, you're going to call out the leaders of each group. The names are on the paper." Ashley looks pointly at the blue notecard she gave Kelly just as the first round of students quietly enter the room.

Ten minutes later, Kelly stands with Ashley and Angela and together they face the members of the Homecoming Committee.

"Thank you everyone for coming early and for being on time," Ashley greets her audience who each have a cup of coffee sitting in front of them some from Starbucks, other from Dunkin' Donuts. "I'm also very glad to see everyone dressed for the Color Wars." She beams at the students wearing red, blue, yellow and black, each representing a grade level. "Now, we must go and get started on decking the halls. We have to start Homecoming Week right."

"Alright," Angela speaks up, setting her own cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee on the table in front of her. "I want al freshmen on the upper left," she motions to her direct left, and everyone dressed in red moves to that position. "All sophomores to my lower left." All those in blue moved to the back of the room. "Junior, top right." The yellow clad students do as told. "And seniors, bottom right." The last bit of students shuffle to the back right side of the room, all dressed in black.

Once everyone is settled, Kelly speaks up. "Leticia Perez and Harvey Williams are in charge of the freshman." The black hair girl steps forward along with a petit dark hair boy from the freshman group as Kelly peeks at the blue notecard in her hand. "Ean Asley and Renata Peter are in charge of the sophomores." Kelly nods to a fair brunette and a tall brown hair boy before calling out, "Ashley Lopez and Leonardo Pimentel are in charge of the juniors." Ashley sends Leo a nod, and he returns it. "And finally, Giana Libbey and Cad Herreras are in charge of the seniors." The hazel eye girl and brow hair boy step up at the mention of their names. Kelly observes the paper again, reading the last line on it and repeating it to the contemplating crowd. "Please grab the materials on the table and let's get started. We have less than an hour to do this."

All the group leaders step forward to take the large bag with their grade color on it, before heading back to their group.

"Okay guys," Ashley starts, waiting until everyone settles down before continuing. "Girls go with your female leader. Guys, with your male leader. If we can do this without getting caught by other students, that'll be great." Ashley looks around the room. "So we have to finish this before 7:40, when the school doors officially open to students. Got it?" There's a chorus of understanding and the students begin filing out.
