Alina Pov

I walk down the park with Chris.

We've talked about serious things that caught our curiosity.

Mostly, our struggles of past relationships to the exact.

Many things happened to Chris that he didn't deserve from those girls.

I feel bad, yet I also feel his pain.

"Ya..." he said.

I look at him, my heart began to pound fast.

"Any girl should not do that to you, Chris you're amazing. They just don't realize it. Plus, those girls are the ones who mostly care about themselves." I stated.

He smiles then turns to me.

He scoffs, "Thanks Alina... For hearing me out. And once again, sorry for what happened about you and Jace. I don't know why he reacted like that. He should understand that you're in a process of things. If I were him, I would understand. And keep that big, bright, beautiful smile on your face."

I kind of blushed.

"You're welcome and Thank You." I said then scoffed.

He smiles.

I look at his eyes then his lips.

I look back his eyes.

We take one step close to each other.

Then our heads were getting close.

All my focus were on his eyes then our lips touched.

I put my hands on his shoulders.

He put his hands on my waist, he's pulling me closer to him.

A few seconds later, we let go completely.

"Yep... That happened." I said.

"Mmhmm, yes it did." he responded.

He looks at his phone then back at me.

"Hey, I got to go. And... Again thank you for taking time for this storytime of heartbreaks." he said.

I nodded slowly.

"Bye." he said then took a couple of seconds to give me before he goes.

Then, he just took a step close and kisses me on the forehead.

I smile.

"Keep smiling, just like you're doing now, ok" he said.

I nodded.

He kisses my forehead again then softly patted my right shoulder.

He ran off.

I smile bigger, because I felt a connection from that kiss.

There's just something special about it.

Jace Pov

I wanted to go to the park.

I wanted some alone time.

I miss Alina, but I'm pissed. Now all I need is a blue sky, soft breeze and sounds of nature to keep me distracted.

I walked in the entrance, then I saw Chris walking out.

He looks like he's having some deep thoughts.

"Hey Chris." I said.

"Oh... Uh, h-hey Jace. W-what are Y-you doing here?" he stuttered.

"I'm here to have time to think. Just about something else than Alina."

His face was no emotion.

Blank.

"I can't get her off my head. I miss her but I'm mad at her."

Chris looks at his phone.

"I g-got to g-g-go." he stuttered more.

I nodded in awkwardness.

He walks away.

What is going on with him?

Might be the painkillers.

Or something else that I can't put my finger on.
