(So I'm painfully sick.
And being sick is the one thing I absolutely detest.
If this chapter turns out to be sucky, I blame it on my cold.)
(Allow yourself to die over this photo bc Ashton is too much of a sweetheart.)
Carry on
Let the good times roll
Sail along
Let your path unfold
It won't be long, won't be long, won't be long
The calming song is soon interrupted by loud bangs at the door. Mali runs to answer it while I sit on the counter, still listening to the music.
You know it's going to get better
You know it's going to get better
Say a prayer
For the broken bones
'Cause who cares?
We're all going home
And it won't be long, won't be long, won't be long
You know it's going to get better, you know it's going to get better
"ASHTON!"
I snap out of my daze to only be tackled in an awkward hug by a dark haired boy. Since I'm sat upon the counter, the boy has his arms around my waist and his head buried in my chest.
I chuckle and rub the back of Calum, being reminded of a small child seeing his brother for the first time in months.
I push Calum off of me a little bit, enough for me to slip back on the ground. He looks at me with teary eyes, scanning my face. I quickly engulf him in a hug, allowing him to nuzzle into my shoulder.
Calum holds onto me like I might disappear in front of his eyes and he'll wake up from a dream. I rub his back, shushing him quietly.
"Calum, I'm right here, okay?" I whisper. "I'm not going anywhere."
Calum continues to hug me tightly.
I turn us around and begin slowly walking backwards towards the living room. Falling back on the grey couch, I'm allow Calum to curl in my side.
(Calum is going to be adorable in this chapter, okay? You might burst into sparkles and rainbows)
"Calum." I say softly. "Cal, I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here, alright? I can't believe we didn't talk for 8 months if it obviously would effect you this much. I'm such an asshole."
"No." Calum mumbles with a sniffle. "It was my fault. You had every right to be mad."
"Can you promise me that these are tears of happiness?" I ask.
"Yes." Calum says, lifting himself up to kiss my cheek. "You can't make me anything but happy."
(Calum you cheese ball)
"That was beyond cute." Mali squeals from the doorframe. I hug Calum closer, feeling protective of him.
"Go away." Calum mutters.
"I can't. I'm Ashton's babysitter." Mali smirks. "I'll shut up, though."
"Hey Mali?" I ask. "Could you bring the CD player in here? I want to listen to the rest of the album."
Mali nods and exits to fetch the player.
"Which album?" Calum questions, lifting his head a little bit.
"I don't know the name of the album but it's by Five Sauce. Apparently it's the second album." I say. "You know them?"
(I feel so evil for no reason)
"Yes." Calum laughs. "You could say that."
"I like them." I say. "I can connect with them."
"Mmhm." Calum hums, burying his head in my chest again. "Me too."
I don't reply but start running my fingers through his hair.
"You smell good." Calum mutters.
(Smells good feels good)
"Thanks." I respond.
Mali comes in again, setting the hunk of metal and plastic on the love seat. She plugs it in, pressing the play button.
My girlfriend's bitching 'cause oak ways sleep in
She's always screaming when she's calling a friend
She's kinda hot though
Yeah, she's kinda hot though
"Catchy." I say. "Though the swearing doesn't suit the band."
"It's the only song they ever did that swears." Mali chuckles. "The fans pleaded to not hear a swear word again."
"Well, one of the band members released a single which swore quite a bit but they didn't mind." Calum adds.
"His sister and mom weren't too happy to hear their baby swear so much in one song, though." Mali states.
"Were they close to their fans?" I ask.
"Yeah. As close as they could be, anyway." Calum replies.
My phone buzzes in my back pocket. I furrow my eyebrows and take it out.
"Who the hell is 'Queen Lucas'?" I ask.
Yeah I'm ending it here
I don't care if it shorter, it's a good damn place to end it
