Chapter-16

Cole's POV.

"What makes you think that I will.... let you go ? What makes you think that you not being a virgin has anything to do with me ? If you think that I will reject you because you are, impure, as you put it. Sorry honey. Not gonna happen." Logan's eerie quiet voice asks her coldly.

"I... Uh..... okay this is bad" she says turning to Josh. Wrong move. Logan doesn't like Josh and talking to him right now.... was a suicidal move.

But he doesn't do as I expected. He doesn't kill him. Instead he takes her by the elbow and takes her into one of the empty rooms locking us inside. He pulls her by her waist and gives her a sinister look. She gulps. Literally. He hovers over her lips.

"Logan....." she whispers.

"Yes, my love"

She briefly closes her eyes as if to not let anything he says affect her but fails. I know this affects her. Just like I know this has always affected me and I just chose to ignore it. But not anymore. I am not going to fight it and I am not going to let her fight it. We are going to embrace this. Together.

"You are willing to accept me because you know I have a past. Like you. And you think that you wouldn't be doing much damage since we're both damaged goods. But I can't accept this. I can't accept you knowing that you only want me now that you know the truth. I am sorry. I can't... I can't do this as k by as you are not going to accept me... for me." She says firmly.

This conversation just took a 360. Logan won't like this very much. Even though she is right about some of those facts.

"You think you will just walk away from me ? No baby. You have a lot to learn about me. Starting from today. I won't let you go without at least knowing I tried. So here goes...." Logan says and leans down. I don't like his idea but.... that is the only way to keep her with us.... so... He bites down on her neck hearing her breath quicken he marks her as her draws some blood and she goes limp in our arms. He gave up control when she fell. Great, buddy. Leave me to deal with the tsunami, why don't you ?

Oh... shut up. Be happy I even have you the opportunity to hold her... because I was ready to have her all to myself.

Now that she is asleep it gives me time to think about things. She is right. I was selfish. But not anymore. I acted like an ass thinking I was saving her but what I didn't know was that I was actually preparing to loose her forever. Just then Bruno comes in growling at me. Now what ? I thought we settled it. He leaps at me but I hold him mid-air. If me and Ashley are going to work this out, I need to settle it for once and for all now. I growl at it baring my teeth and my alpha eyes. It quiets down immediately.

That's right, I am the boss here. It hangs it's head and I feel a little guilty. I mean it's just a dog after all.... a very cute one at that. I slowly lay it on my lap and awkwardly pat its head and scratch it behind its ear. It's actually a really great dog. I've always liked German Shepherds.

2 hours later.

Bruno suddenly lifts up his head from my lap and jogs to Ashley's sleeping form. He licks her and after sometime she wakes up. Weird. I immediately make myself useful and pull her head putting it on my lap. She blinks for sometime and then opens her angelic eyes to look up at me. Pun intended.

She bites her lips, something she does when she is really confused and takes a deep breath and gets off of me but doesn't get off the bed. See.... a good sign.

"So... you marked me"

"I did"

"Without my permission"

I don't like where this is going.

"Sorry for that"

"Are you ?"

"No"

"Obviously" she mutters under her breath.

"You're awfully controlled with this. Is this the silence before of after the storm ?"

"Before. And you're the storm. Because the silence ends now when is say this.... I can reject your bite"

"What ?" I say startled.

"My mom suffered due to a wolf. She knew if this day would ever come, I would want to protect myself. So she also gave me the power to reject you. Even after your bite and mating. If I reject you now.... your bite will disappear"

"What ?!" I roared. I wasn't informed of this before.

It gonna take a lot more than a bite to keep her with me.
