"Melinda!" My sound ecoes, while we search the whole morgue up.

There was still no sign of her, nor a noise. I put my head in my hands, just to hear Nick screaming from the other side.

"Got something!" I rush to his side, only to find a note on the table.

I'm okay guys. It was just a rat and I just had to go home for some rest. Got only a few hours yesterday. My brain was playing me. I guess I was freaked out by the lack of sleep. Probably paranoia and halucination stressed me. Sorry to bother you. See you tomorrow!

There was something wrong with this note. Melinda would never ever call one of us just because a rat. Or haluciation. Melinda would never disappear without telling us anything and if she would, she would text one of us. Unless... Someone didn't want her to be found and let her write the note...

"This is fake. Melinda would never do that. She doesn't even harm a bug why would she just go home because she saw a rat?" Fin asks, after reading the letter over and over again.

"She wouldn't." Carisi says, snatching the letter from his hand. He reads it. And again and again and again. His eyes brighten up for a split second and his mouth turns into an 'o'.

"Wait." Carisi looks at it closely. "If you look better, you will see that some letters are written in italics." He grabs the letter. "I, t, w, a, s, a, m, r, e, n, o, l, d, s- I think that's it. What do we got?" He looks up from the letter.

"Itwasamrenolds." I repeat and then it hits me. The name on Amanda's letter was written backwards.

Nick tries to calm himself down and Fin looks stressed.

"What am I missing here?" Carisi looks confused.

"It was Sam Reynolds." I say our thoughts out loud.
