Haunting Dreams

On instinct I curl into the covers as I feel a chill. I hear a grunt as I pull the comforter and I crack a smile. "Why must you hog the blankets Mystic Wolf?" I hear someone say in Dustin's voice, but I know instantly it's not him. When Dustin calls me Mystic Wolf he always says it in French not in English. "You're not Dustin." I growl as I sit up, hugging the blanket to my bare body. I stare at the Dustin look alike but I can quickly pick out the differences.

His black hair is even darker, if that is even possible, and his once bright, blue eyes are dark, blue. The imposter sighs and chuckles to himself. "Damn I thought I had him down." He mumbles smirking at me and I realize it's the Demigod. "What did you do with him?!" I snap, my wolf on edge. He rolls his eyes with an angry sigh.

"Remember Maxy? You and your BFF killed me." The Demigod says and I look at him confused. "Then how the hell are you here?" I ask and he smirks. "Your dreaming Maxy. And I guess your precious mate didn't know but if you kill the Demigod that's trying to mate with you, they'll haunt your dreams." He states with a grin and I feel goose bumps on my arms.

I jump when the Demigod sits up in the bed smirking. "So Maxy get ready for a train wreck of nightmares." The Demigod whispers in my ear and moves my hair away from my neck. I try to move away but my body doesn't respond. He presses a cold kiss to my neck before I feel a pair of fangs biting down on my neck.

I scream as I wake up, still feeling the pain of the Demigod's bite. "Mystique Loup?" I hear Dustin say as I'm being pulled into someone. "Maxine what's wrong?" He says kissing my mark and I shiver. "D-Demigod." I stutter still shaken up by the dream. Dustin growls holding me tighter. "Maxine the Demigod is dead, you're okay." He tries to sooth me but I shake my head. I untangle from his arms and quickly slip on his shirt as I go to the bathroom.

I look at the left side of my neck and see Dustin's mark, a black wolf and a white one howling at the moon. I look at the right side of my neck and I gasp at what I see. "Max what..." Dustin trails off but stops when he sees the red mark on my neck. Growling Dustin turns me around to take a look at it. "You can't save her," the mark reads.

"He wasn't lying." I mumble and my mate looks at me. "Who?" he asks with a frown. "The Demigod. I had a dream and the Demigod was using your face instead of Eric's." I begin and Dustin's eyes begin to get darker. "The Demigod said that if you kill the Demigod that was trying to mate with you, that they would haunt your dreams." I choke out the last word with a cry.

Eric Pov.

"Why am I just now hearing about my daughter being raped by a Demigod?!" Alpha Daniels shouts at me and I shrug looking at the wooden floor. "I thought Dustin would have informed you when the Demigod kidnapped Maxine, Alpha." I say, carefully choosing my words. I glance to my left to see my father staring at me with relief and the Luna sobbing while sitting on a leather chair.

The Alpha clears his throat and I look up at him but not in the eyes. "I've made my decision on whether or not Eric should be the future Alpha of this pack." He states and my father stares at him. I grit my teeth waiting for the words, declined position. "Look me in the eyes Eric." The Alpha commands and I do in a non-challenging way.

I can feel chills go down my spine at his intense stare and the power that radiates off of him. "I Alpha Radian Daniels, accept the position of future Alpha for Eric Mainning." He says and I feel a rush of relief fill me. "I Eric Mainning accept the position of the future Alpha." I say not breaking eye contact with my Alpha.

Radian smiles and nods as I break eye contact with him. I feel my father pull me into a hug and I grin, hugging him back. Suddenly someone barges into the Alpha's office and I turn around to see an old friend, Tucker. "I'm very sorry to interrupt Alpha Daniels but something has happened to Max." He rushes out and my eyes widen.

"The Demigod is haunting her dreams." He begins to explain and I growl lowly. "Dustin wants all of us to meet him in his pack." Tucker says and Alpha Daniels nods. "You and Eric go we'll be there soon." He informs us and I rush out of the room. When I reach outside I start stripping off my clothes so I can shift into my wolf but Tucker stops me.

"Wow I didn't expect the first time we saw each other it would be like this." Tucker says with a slight chuckle. I glance at him and smile a little. "Me either." I admit now grinning at him. "I expected a bouquet of roses in your hand with a card that said, "I missed you" and-" I'm cut off when Tucker shoves me with a red face and I chuckle. "Dude I have a mate, you can't say I have a gay crush on you anymore." Tucker scolds and I raise my eyebrows.

"You have a mate?" I ask and Tucker grins, nodding. "Yeah, here name is Teresa and she's also Dustin's sister." Tucker mumbles the last part and I chuckle. "Well now I know you'll be the most whipped Alpha in the world." I tease and Tucker shoves me again, shaking his head right before he shifts into his wolf. I chuckle once again before shifting into my own wolf. Tucker takes off in front of me and I chase after him towards Maxine.
