It's been a week since Peeta popped the question if I'd ever marry him. I completely broke down after he asked since I had closed up that part of me since my dad died. I saw how wrecked my mom was after the sudden death of my father; and had sworn to myself to never marry or fall in love like she did. That way, I would never have my world ripped from me. But Peeta he changed everything for me, I was breaking down every wall I had in the second he wanted it down. The reason the simple question brought me to tears was because in the five months I'd been with Peeta, although I hadn't told him: I was in love with him.

I woke up with a longing pain on the back of my neck, as I tried to rub it my arms I let out a scream of pain because of how high I was reaching.

"Peeta" I whined as I tried to wake him so he could give me a massage. Meanwhile sitting up to wake I looked down at my six month pregnant belly and realized it had grown a significant amount. It was now becoming so overwhelming it was becoming impossible to do anything with the help of Peeta or Prim. Yesterday, I tried opening a carton of milk and literally felt as if I was going to pass out soon after.

"Yes love?" He yawned as he sat up and stretched himself out.

"Can you massage my lower neck please?" I asked as I smiled at his bed head.

"Yeah, of course.. I see our little girl is growing"Peeta smiles as he looks down at my belly as if it were gold.

"She is, and it's making basically everything impossible for mommy" I pout.

"Come here" Peeta says as he opens his legs and pats the spot in front of him for me to sit down. I then slowly accommodate myself in between his legs as he begins to relieve the tension on my back.

"That feels amazing baby" I moan in pleasure as I feel my nerves settle themselves.

"Do you want to go out for breakfast after this?" Peeta request as I open my eyes to face that my massage will soon be over but it's more important that I feed the cute little monster inside of me.

"Yeah, I'm sure you'll have to help me get dressed though." I tease Peeta as I roll my shoulders back.

"Hm, that won't be much of a burden for me I'm sure" He winks as he gives me a kiss on my temple and heads out of bed.

I see Peeta grab his robe, a fresh pair of boxers and a white t-shirt meanwhile then heading to the shower. As I see the door to the bathroom close I fall back onto bed wanting to get at least ten more minutes of sleep.

15 or so minutes later...

"Katniss, baby, wake up" Peeta whispers as he gently shakes me.

"Oh wow sorry, I just wanted a few more minutes of sleep" I apologize.

"It's fine, come on now we have a breakfast to get ready for" He says helping me stand up.

As Peeta throws on a burgundy v-neck and some denim jeans I pick out a lightly blue and white long sleeve, some lightwash jeans, and a pair of white toms. Peeta then helps me brush out my hair and put a yellow headband in it. I then apply some light mascara on and am ready to go. I grab a small leather purse and walk downstairs with the assistance of Peeta.

"Table for two please" Peeta says as we walk up to the concierge at the restaurant. It was a pretty long drive which Peeta failed to mention but the place really is beautiful. It's a small, open restaurant on the lake which is all white and has the simplicity of nature all around it. We get seated at a round table which is neither too close nor too far away from the lake. Peeta and I take a quick look at the menu and end up ordering in that moment. As an appetizer I order a fruit parfait since Prim has dragged me into eating healthy and out of courtesy, Peeta orders himself one even though I know he'd much rather eat a coffee cake that he would've gone for normally. After about fifteen minutes our food arrives and I practically stuff four pancakes in my mouth, one after the other. After eating my hash-brown, sausage, and scrambled eggs Peeta suggests he pay and we go down to the shore to look at the lake.

"Peeta, I'm not going down there I'm scared" I say as I refuse to take a step onto the rocky path.

"Sweetheart, it's not that steep I promise you won't fall" Peeta reassures me as he offers me his hand.

"I wouldn't want to take any chances, thank you" I say rolling my eyes and turning the other way.

"Then you leave me no choice" I hear Peeta whisper in my ear suddenly, I'm swept off my feet and am being carried down the rocky path in Peeta's strong arms.

"Peeta if you drop me I will make sure you never live to see another lake" I scold him while fearing for my baby.

"Katniss, shut up and enjoy this, will you?" He laughs as we come close to the end of the path.

"Fine fine, fine" I grunt under my breath as I lay my head back and try to enjoy the breeze swaying through my hair. I feel so at peace in Peeta's arms I begin to hum a melody my dad used to sing while he was in office working late hours. I feel Peeta's body grin down at me and instantly feel even safer in his arms. Before Peeta sets down he kisses my temple and whispers,

"I love you"
