Chapter 14- Welcome home

"I'm so glad you can finally leave, the drive up here is way too long and it's annoying with all the traffic. But it's this little monster's fault! Ugh, I can't get enough her!" Johanna jokes as she looks down at Penelope. 

After having to stay at the hospital for two days, they are finally releasing me and baby Penelope. 

"I'm so happy she's finally here and I can have her in my arms" I say as I look down at my precious angel sleeping. 

"Oh god, stop it Katniss. The way you look at her makes me want to have a baby of my own" Johanna says as she plows herself down on the hospital bed. I then look at her with a face full of surprise, 

"Are you serious?!" 

"Um, if I just happen to get pregnant by a hot ass millionaire... YEA I'LL FUCKING THINK ABOUT IT KATNISS!" She says dramatically as she throws her arms in the air and pretends to pull out her hair. 

"Shut up, he is not a millionaire " I say as I roll my eyes and continue packing things into the baby's bag we brought from home. 

"You clearly haven't googled him" Johanna smirks. 

"Why the hell have you googled my fiancé?!" I ask her profoundly confused and a bit concerned by what Johanna spends her spare time doing. 

"May I remind you he's my doctor, I'd be stupid if I didn't google him before making my actual doctor. Common sense." She says as she rolls her eyes. 

"I haven't even googled him Jo" I tell her realizing how much I've missed out on. 

"Moving on, where is your loaded fiancé, anyways?" She asks looking at the clock on the wall. 

"He is right here" Peeta says as he walks through the door with a baby car seat in arms. 

"Oh wow, sorry Peeta. Katniss and I have this humor between us-" Peeta then cuts her off saying, 

"No, it's completely fine I thought it was funny." 

"Hey baby" I smile as he comes over and kisses me. 

"You ready?" He asks as he sets the car seat besides P's bed. 

"Yeah, I'm just scared it's a little too traffic-y right now" I tell him feeling a bit afraid of not being able to control everything that happens to Penelope.

"Well you're lucky you have the most overcautious person driving you home" He winks. 

"I'm still worried Peet" I say as I glance out the window to see the traffic clearing out. 

"Here's my princess" Peeta smiles as he bends down to pick up Penelope. 

"Oh she's awake?!" I say excitedly as I rush over to his side. 

"Isn't she always?" Johanna asks as she looks at us in a confused way. 

"No, she's usually asleep and only wakes up when she's hungry or needs to be changed" I explain as I prepare to feed her. 

"Oh god, are you really gonna feed her right now?!" Johanna says worriedly as if something bad were about to happen. 

"Yes, Jo my child is hungry and it's kinda my job to feed her don't you think?" I ask as I laugh. 

"Oh my gosh, does it hurt?! I mean she's extracting nutrients from your body, yeah okay I'm going back to work now. I'll see you tomorrow I love all three of you guys! Be careful!" Johanna says as she gathers her things quickly and makes her way out of the room.
