19: Revealed

Faith

Trees were blooming at its fullest. The flowers are dancing like swaying with the hymn of the wind. Grasses were green like it's attracting you. There, the little boy and girl, playing, was the main plot of these scenery.

Laughing, almost crying. With those innocent smiles, they didn't know that after those, there is a tear that will lead the destiny forget them in the future.

"Happy birthday! This is my gift for you!"

"Really?"

"Haha. Of course!"

"What is it? What is it?" The little girl said while flashing her beautiful smile with its innocence. "Oh! It's a journal! And who's this bear?" she said wandering.

"He's name is Mr. Scruffins. Promise me, you'll keep that even when we're grown!"

"I will. Then promise me that you'll never leave me!" She said with her innocent mind without even knowing the saying 'promising are meant to be broken'.

"I promise I won't. I am your prince, right? Princes don't leave their princesses!" Then ended with his giggle.

With that it end the day.

On that journal, there are letters with the little boy's shaggy handwriting but filled with happiness.

"You said you won't leave me, right? But why?"

"I won't leave you. I'm just going somewhere! And I'm going back to you, okay? Please wait for me." The day before his flight was a sad one. Bidding goodbye was his worst nightmare. He didn't know this day will come.

"No! You're a liar! No!" she said, then ran away from him.

His eyes went blurred, watching his bestfriend ran away.

"Sorry" He muttered those words that she will never hear in that time.

She stayed up in her room all night.

Morning came. She still can't accept the fact that this day will come.

She swept the dust in her window to see clearly what's going on outside. And then she saw him, bidding goodbye to their neighbors.

She closed her curtains. She needs rest, for a week of convincing him not to go. But what happened?

He left.

He left her.

She opened the journal. Re-reading those letters from him.

And then one thing she realized... 'I need to say goodbye and I want to welcome him someday'.

She came barging in in her aunt's room.

Her mom and her dad went to U.S. for their business. They visit her every year. But she ignore it, she know their situation. She loves her parent as a daughter, not the jealous one. She and her aunt live together in not-so-big-and-so-small-house in the subdivision.

"Aunt please drive me to the airport!"

"Please! Faster!"

She bought the journal in the car, hugging it.

"I told you! You must know your decisions well!"

She did not reply, thus, tears came falling in her eyes.

*BEEP BEEP

Red crimson fluid. Smoke. Screeching tires. What is happening?

She manage to stand to search for her aunt but she's already fast asleep and will never be awaken.

Her journal was there. There was a blood on it. A drop one. And then she noticed, why is there teared up pages?

"I didn't even manage to say goodbye to you. Mianhaeyo."

Once again, she looked at her aunt for the last time. "Sorry, aunt."

That pain stings. Something in her head makes her fall asleep. That pain was like erasing the permanent marker on a surface.

She closed her eyes, with a tear that will lead the destiny forget them in the future.
