Chapter 28

*1 week later*

For the first couple of days back in Australia jet lag had hit me pretty bad. But after a couple of days of rest I was fine. I hadn't seen Chris yet but there was plenty of time for that. I also had plenty of photo shoots to do whilst I was in Australia.

I decided I should get out of the house today and actually do something. I thought shopping and coffee sounds great.

I got out of bed it was about 10am. I was staying in my old room at my mothers house. I walked down the hallway and into the bathroom to have a shower. 10 minutes later I got out. I wrapped a towel around my self and walked to my bedroom. The house was so quiet because mum was at work and Lexi was at school now because she was 6. I walk to my suitcase to choose an outfit. I pulled out some black combat boots, white knee high socks, blue t-shirt, black skirt and a black cardigan. I pulled the skirts waistband up so it just met the bottom of my shirt. I grabbed my boots and walked downstairs. I grabbed my handbag, I put on my boots and walked out the door. I had decided to walk because hey it's nice to walk every once in a while. Whilst on my way down the drive way I saw Chris.

'Oh hey Chris'. 'Uh hey Emma, nice to see you again' he replied it was pretty awkward I just wanted to get away. I continued to walk down the street and turning a corner every now and then. I walked for about 10 minutes until I found the cafe I always used to visit. The memories made here were still alive in my memory. I go up to the counter and order my usual a chai latte and a choc chip muffin. I take a seat at a table. I wait 5 minutes and get my chai latte and muffin. I sit scrolling through twitter on my phone and taking sips from chai latte and bites from my muffin. I see a tall figure sit at the seat across from me at the table I was sitting at. 'That seats taken' I say not looking up from my phone. 'Im sure your imaginary friend won't mind me sitting here' a male voice says. This voice was all too familiar. 'Im sure they would care' I say looking up from my phone. 'Oh hey Chris, sorry didn't realise it was you'. 'Its fine Emma so enjoying Australia so far' he said smiling. 'Yea good, I'm thinking about going to school occasionally' I say shrugging my shoulders. 'That would be good I'm sure Katie would love to see you!' He said with his smile widening. 'Yea I might go tomorrow' I say taking a sip of my chai latte. 'Chris, I hope you're still not angry about me moving to LA' I say you could probably hear the worry in my voice. 'Look Emma I forgive you understand what it's like to move, I've done it before' Chris replied losing his smile. 'Well I need to get home, I have some stuff to do' I say getting up from my seat. 'See you tomorrow then'
