Chapter 12

Emma's P.O.V

I woke up at 5am because I had to meet the other girls at the venue at 5:30. I got up had a shower and straighten my hair. I grabbed my dance bag and smoothie and got in a taxi and went to the venue. I got there at 5:45 I was due to perform my solo at 9. So I had an hour to practice and 1 hour to get my hair and make-up done.

**1 hour later**

Lucy told me to go get get my hair and make-up done. I had a fishtail braid and natural style makeup. I was doing a hip hop solo to a song called "do it now". I put on my black sports bra, my multi-coloured harem pants and my black converse (out fit on the left side above). I practiced the dance once more and went backstage to wait for my turn,

Announcer:
Please welcome contestant number 5. Performing do it now.

I walked out to the middle of the stage and waited for my song to start.

**2 minutes later**

I walked off stage blowing a kiss to the crowd before walking into the wings. I was so excited I couldn't wait for the group dance. I had about an hour and half till my group dance. I wish the other girls on my team good luck for their solos and walked back into the change rooms. I saw Chris sitting in a seat I ran up to him and gave him a kiss and a hug. "You did awesome baby g" he said kissing me again. "You better go the girls will be back soon". " okay I'm looking forward to the group dance you girls will kick ass" he says giving me a hug."ok now get out" I say jokingly pushing him out the room, I shut the door and change my make up to a smokey eye and change into the group costume. The rest of the girls come in and change into the group costume.

The group costume was a black sports bra, harem pants that have one side black and the other side tribal print and to finish it off black converse. We walk back stage and wait for our number to be called.

Announcer:
Please welcome act number 10 performing uptown funk

**2 minutes later**

We walk off stage bouncing with excitement. We run back to the dressing room to put on our dance studio leggings and our team jackets. We wait about 3 hours till all the other sections finish then in our dance studios one by one we run on the stage and bow.

Announcer:
Please welcome Lucy Ellis All-Stars Sydney

We run on stage and now then sit down on the stage. First they do the teen division solos.

Announcer-
3rd place goes to act number 3 Ella from Rave dance studio
2nd place goes to act number 7 Katie from Lucy Ellis Allstars Sydney
And drum roll please, we drum roll on the stage.
1st place goes to Emma from Lucy Ellis Allstars Sydney.

I run up stage to the stage to take a bow and collect my trophy this means Katie and I go to the Australian Ultimate Nationals.

Announcer-
Now we present the teen group awards
3rd place goes to act number 1 roar talent dance studio
2nd place goes to act number 15 light up the stage dance academy
And drum roll please
1st place goes to... Act number 10 Lucy Ellis Allstars Sydney

We run up stage with excitement. After they finish presenting the other awards we leave the stage and go back to the dressing room. I take off my harem pants and chuck on some trackies. I grab my dance bag and costumes and wait for Chris, mum and Lexi out the front of the venue. We catch a taxi home. I run into the hotel exhausted, I lay down on my bed and fall asleep.
