Chapter 29

Emma's P.O.V

**Next Morning**

I wake up to my alarm.

Yep I was going to school. In America I did occasionally go to school but I was mainly home schooled. I was doing some of year 12 in Australia so ya know I would finish year 12 early. It's confusing yes I know.

I got up and went to select an outfit for the day. I had selected a black long sleeve crop, mint green skater skirt, black lace up boots. I got dressed and walked down the stairs to the kitchen. I toke a seat at the kitchen bench next to Lexi. 'Well don't you look cute in your little school uniform' I say patting her on the head. Mum puts a bowl of fruit in front of me. 'I hate it' she says pouting and pulling at her collar. 'Be thankful Lexi at least you don't have to choose your outfit everyday'. 'I better head off now' I say putting my bowl in the sink. 'Have good day sweetie' mum yells as I walk out the door.

I put my headphones in and started to walk to school. I finally reached the school gates. I started to walk towards the school office, I felt literally so awkward. It literally felt like all eyes were on me. Because you know why would little miss Emma waltz back into our schoolyard when she's all successful in America... blah blah blah. I get to the front office and pull open the glass door. I walk up to the front counter to where the desk clerk was sitting. 'Hi I'm Emma, I'm new' I say over the desk. 'Ahh yes Emma, here is your timetable, locker number and your lock and it's combination'. She said handing me a bunch of papers and a lock. 'Im sure you know where all the buildings are from your previous years'. 'Thank you' I say walking out of the building. I walked into the building filled with lockers. I found locker number 154 and opened it. I put in my bag and grabbed out a notebook. I didn't want to be standing in the lockers for the rest of the morning so I walked to my first class and toke a seat.  I sat in class for about 10 minutes before the bell went. The class started filling up with people. Chris walked in last and toke a seat next to me, Lucky! 'How nice of you to show your face around here again' Chris said looking towards the front of the room. 'Didn't want to disappoint ya because I knew you wanted to see me' I say writing down notes from the board. 'Sure did want to see ya' he said winking at me. 'You're such a flirt ya know that'. 'Well I do try' he said writing down notes. I tell ya what note taking sucks.

After about another 40 minutes of crappy class the bell went. That bell couldn't of come any early. I walk to my locker and shove my notebook in it. I open my bag to find some food. Just as I was grabbing my apple Chris manages to show up. 'Figured you would need some friends' he said smirking. 'If this is your way of trying to get back with me it's working' I said winking. 'Well I do try' he said flicking his hair out of his face. 'Well let's go to this group of so called friends' I air quoted friends just to annoy him.

He takes me to the year 12 common room. We walk over to the lounge area. 'Katie' I practically screamed and ran up to her. 'Emma' she also screamed jumping up and hugging me. 'Ive missed you so much' I say pulling out of the hug. 'Me too' she said taking her seat back next to Ethan. I take a seat next Chris. 'Hey Ethan, Hey Jakob'. 'Hey Emma' they say in unison. 'So Emma are you here to stay?' Ethan ask breaking the silence. 'Uh no I'm here for the rest of winter then I'm back off to America and going to college over there, I'm just doing extra school time for higher marks' I say. 'That sucks I wish you could stay longer' Katie replys. 'Me too but I have my dance job over there and my modelling job' I say shrugging my shoulders. 'I didn't know you were modelling' the boys say. 'I did' Katie said raising her hand as if she were 5. 'Yea we'll part of the reason I'm in Australia is because I have to do some modelling'. 'Jakob so have you had any girls since I left' I say. 'I had one but she was so controlling and so with that I ended it' he said leaning back in his chair. 'Oh okay, I dot even have to ask about you two' I say while pointing at Ethan and Emma gaining a giggle out of everyone.

So there should be more today. I've been up since 4am don't even ask why, so I'm going to end up in bed all day.
