I was led to a large round courtyard with benches placed around its outside where Lord Elrond, Gandalf, Aragon, Frodo, the blonde blue-eyed elf, a flame haired dwarf, 3 other hobbits and I stood in a circle.

"It has been a very surprising day, though this one has made my heart very happy." Lord Elrond looked to me as he held out his arms and I smiled knowingly.

"Indeed it has been Lord Elrond," I take a few steps into his waiting arms and pull his shoulder to me with my chin, while wrapping one front paw around his waist, for a hug. The others in the room stand in shock of our embrace, except for Gandalf of course, and as we part the dwarf is the first to speak.

"I have heard the stories as a wee lad but never in my years would I expect to meet a Firron. My name is Gimli son of Glóin; it is an honor, my lady." With that Gimli bows and continues to stare at me in wonder and admiration.

"Thank you master dwarf, your words are kind to me." With my gentle reply the 3 hobbits decide to speak up as well.

"My name is Pippin; you're really pretty with your black coat and all. Do you have a name? You here to help Frodo too?" The little hobbit was interrupted by his similar companion, "Pippin she doesn't need you asking all that. How-do -you-do I'm Merry the smarter one here and that shy one is Samwise, but we just call him Sam." As Pippin tried to push his way forward again so I decided to end the small quarrel and chuckle.

"It is very nice to meet you all, and thank you Pippin I rather like my coat as well. As for my name you can call me Firron and yes as long as Frodo bears the ring I wish to protect him." I looked pleadingly at Lord Elrond to continue with the topic at hand as the two energetic hobbits opened their mouths to ask more questions. He looked sternly at the two Hobbits, who quickly shut their mouths and back away towards Sam near Frodo and Gandalf.

"It would seem our Fellowship is to have one more," Gandalf commented with a sweep of his robes as he sits down upon a bench. "I personally find it comforting to have you, old friend, for this ominous task." Presently Aragon, who had been silent up until now decided to speak.

"If Gandalf has that much trust in you then I shall as well my lady." Nodding his head he leaned against one of the pillars around the courtyard. My attention was turned to the aura around him, it was strange what silent power radiated off of him, almost like a person of royal blood and the blonde elf, that had yet to name himself, had this same aura yet more vibrant. Both Aragon's and the elf's bodies were lean but Aragon had a wider torso with stockier limbs, the elf by no means looked weak, rather, like a snake coiled to attack; quick and deadly.

"Boromir, the last member, should arrive shortly." Lord Elrond spoke to us, "We should wait for him to continue." As we waited I quietly padded over and curled up next to Lord Elrond, who was now sitting, laying my large head on his lap for him to stroke my ears. I took this opportunity to study the blonde elf better and I must say he really was a fine specimen. His long blonde coupled with his piercing blue eyes, high cheek bones and perfectly sculpted nose placed him way above the others in his race, all elves were unearthly beautiful but his was beyond that, almost god-like.

"His name is Legolas Greenleaf and he is Prince of Mirkwood," Lord Elrond's voice sounded in my head. "You seem to hold an interest in him; he would make a fine partner for you." His voice held a teasing ring to it but I knew deep down he was serious. It would seem that all the parental figures in my life had a meeting to harass me about my life-partner.

"I've missed you Father." I said as he quietly strokes the fur behind my ear.

"I have missed you as well; it warms my heart to have you sitting here without fear of being discovered." With this he starts to loosen some dried mud from the base of my head, "You need a bath child."
