~ Chapter Six: Like Father, Like Daughter. ~

Updated on October 24th, 2015

~~ Ticci Toby ~~

Piper stared, puzzled, into the darkest corner of the empty room.

Her 'father' sat beside her on the 'hospital' bed. Everyone else had left the room, giving herself and Toby some privacy to talk to each other. He had given her a fair explanation as to why he hadn't been around during the time she could actually remember. Trying to get her to remember her lifetime from her baby years to her first year of toddlerhood surely wouldn't come very easy. The complexity of it was very easily spotted, though, Toby had only one reason to prove to her that he was in fact a worthy father.

He didn't want to turn out like his father. A complete and utter failure to the tittle 'father'. Toby knew for a fact that being like his father, would make him seem like the failure he had been during his mortal years. Allowing people to bully him without standing up for himself, not being able to save his older sister in the car accident, not being able to tell his own mother he love her before running off into the woods and burning all traces of him being alive or wherever it was he had gone.

Toby couldn't get over how much his daughter was like him. Through the three hours of talking to each other, he'd heard her 'tics'. They mostly came when she became strongly angry, saddened, or frustrated. Like Toby, her hair was dark brown and tinted gold, but fell to just below her waist. Her skin was fairly tanned, and she was even a bit moody. Much like him.

Piper nodded her head and pursed her lips, she turned her head to look up at Toby.

"Then, how did Slenderman find u-us?" She questioned, her green eyes seemed to bore into his.

"S-Slenderman had a way o-of doing things. A-All Pastas are under h-his control. N-No matter what, h-he'll find you. E-Especially if you've already met him. No P-Pasta is to move out of t-the mansion, and l-leave him uninformed as to w-where they are going. He is a-a Pasta's o-only source of p-protection. A-And he w-wasn't permitted t-to speak of your c-current location without C-Clockwork's permission, which, s-she had g-given none." He replied, hoping his only daughter would understand.

Piper nodded. The ten year old didn't speak, and that slightly alarmed Toby without question. What if she demanded Toby's information had been nothing but utter bullshit? What if she stood from her current location and walked out, thinking her father would be nothing but blood-related to her? Toby had always been afraid of rejection. He had a strong hatred for it. However, being rejected by Piper would most likely put an end to him. He finally had her, and he would take care of her whether she accepted or declined.

Suddenly, Piper hopped off the 'hospital' bed, landing on the blood stained tiled floors gracefully.

"W-What are you doing?" Toby asked.

"Well . . . I-I kind of wanted to s-see who else lived in the mansion . . . Unless that was a b-bad idea."

Toby's eyes lit up, and for the first time in a long time, the corners of his lips expanded upwards. turning into a soft grin as her rushed to grasp Piper's hand, and vegan to drag her around the mansion. Introducing her to other killers and areas of the mansion.

Toby smiled even wider:

He finally had them back.
