Zane

You and the ninja's were hanging out at the monastery; it was a late sunny afternoon. Zane and his brothers were all training each other up whilst you sat besides  and watched. For you it was always entertaining, getting to stare at Zane being all sweaty and hot was always quite the show.

"Hey Y/N could you come over for a moment?" Zane then asks, gesturing you over. You don't object and move over towards him and his brothers.

"What's up?" you ask with a small smile.

Jay butts in. "We need something from Zane's room, could'ya get it for us?"

"What is this 'something'?" you question, crossing your arms.

"It's just my magnifying glass" Zane finishes, "I need it so that Jay can fix a small loose screw on my back."

"Oh. Don'tcha want me to do it?"

"Nono" Jay cuts you off, "I know what I'm doing perfectly well. I just need that magnifying glass."

A laugh releases from your mouth. "Alright! Keep your pants on." As your about to turn and leave the room, you give Jay a hard arm punch with a smirk.

You slip into Zane's room; your eyes darting about the room for his magnifying glass. As per usual, it was super neat so it wouldn't take you that long to find...hopefully. 

You start to mover around his room, looking under and in between things and personal objects until you come across his diary. It looked to be quite an old book, its pages ripped and its front cover an oldish color. Zane had a diary? The thought of it almost seemed funny to you. 

It wasn't even intentional, but your hands soon picked the book up and before you know it you were flicking through its pages. One paragraph in particular drew you closer.

17th October.

I messed up again. My brothers must think I'm a screw up. I can never get anything right. But I guess a Nindroid isn't exactly programmed for that. I may be smart, but sometimes I make the wrong decisions. I was stupid to think opening up the portal and letting Morro through was a good idea. Why did I think that would work? I almost got Y/N and Lloyd hurt. I can't-

You get cut off as your hear the door creak open to reveal Zane.

"Y/N, is everything oka-?" he stops once he realizes your reading his diary. You drop the book in shock; several pieces of paper flying from it, and the book itself ripping into two. 

There's a silence.

"Why were you reading that? What happened to the magnifying glass?"

Your stuck for words. "Th-his was just...was there and..." your stutters make your eyes start to water. There's another silence.

"What did you read" he then says in an oddly serious tone. You realize his fists are clenched.

"I-It was just.."

"What. Did. You. Read."

"Only one paragraph" you confess, "Something about you...opening a portal."

There's another silence. This time the guilt you were slightly feeling rose to punch your straight in the chest; you knew you shouldn't have read his diary- but why did you do it anyway? It was an crappy move and made you feel awful.

It was then when Zane turned and left his room. Leaving you in silence, not knowing what to do.
