Your Birthday!

Zane

You hear the floorboards of your bedroom creak making you shoot up from you sleeping position, your E/C eyes wide with panic. You come face to face with Zane, him holding a tray full of presents and a slice of what seemed to be like chocolate cake.

"Zane?" you question quietly, "W-What are you.."

"Happy Birthday Y/N!" Zane cuts you off with a huge grin. He moves over to sit on the edge of your bed, placing the tray in front of you. It was your birthday...? Surely if it was your birthday you'd remember...

"Are you sure it's my birthday?" you ask again.

Zane looks a little taken aback, "Can you not remember you own birthday Y/N?" He then shuffles himself around. "You told me specifically not to forget."

Maybe you getting powers was messing with your memory? Zane never forgets a date; and knowing you- you probably forced it upon Zane to not forget your birthday! And anyway! It's present's, cake and Zane all in one! You can't decline this.

You smile up at Zane, leaning forward to place the three presents on your lap. Your eyes are grabbed by the bright blue present which is closest to you. Your patience can't handle it; you soon to begin to rip the blue wrapping away from the gift soon revealing a light grey gemstone necklace .

It was beautiful.

"Do you like it?" Zane asks sweetly, "That gift is from us all...Jay wrapped it."

You giggle, looking back up to Zane. "I love it!" You then lean over to him and kiss his cheek lightly, "Thank you all."

"Don't thank us yet! You still have two more to open!"

As the morning passes, you open your remaining presents which turn out to be a grey Ninja costume from Sensei Wu and a box of (your favorite chocolates) from Zane. You literally couldn't be more happier.

After you thanked Zane in bundles of kisses and hugs, you sit back in your spot and stare at your large slice of chocolate cake Zane had brought you in.

Your lip tilts up slightly, "This cake isn't going to eat itself you know..."

You watch as Zane's face lights up with excitement, you then handing him the fork that sits on the tray.

He takes the fork a little unevenly as he realizes, "What are you going to eat with? You don't have a fork..."

You let out a laugh as you hold up your hands. "Who says you need a fork to eat cake?"

It was your birthday and you were training. To be honest, it felt like a normal day on the bounty for you. You had set yourself out a barrel full of water; your aim- to try and levitate the water inside.
