The Truth

As I walked in my tent to sleep I glanced around the tent. I laid down in my bed to sleep, my dreams consuming me. When I awoke I looked around my tent once more, expecting to see Peter come walking in my tent to greet me. I stood out of my bed and got myself all ready. I walked out of my tent and looked around, no sign of Pan anywhere. "Pan..?" I called out, looking to my left, then to my right. I saw Felix come out from the trees, "Hey Amber, have you seen Pan?" I shook my head and looked past him. I expected Pan to come follow behind him. "Amber!" I heard the familiar british accent of Pan. I smiled and turned to face him. "Pan!" I Smiled and ran up to him, while consuming him in a hug. I then remembered what I wanted Pan to tell me.

"Pan." I broke away from the hug and faced him. "Yes, Amber?" I cleared my throat and looked to Felix. "umm... Felix. can you leave? I want to talk to Pan alone." Felix nodded and walked away to the Lost Boys. I looked back to face Pan and gave him a smile. "Okay so." I shifted my feet nervously in the dirt. Pan stared at me, trying to possibly contemplate why I was taking so long. "I-I want to ask you something." He nodded at me as if it was obvious. "Actually for a while now, I've been wanting to ask this.." I frowned and glanced down at my feet then back up at Pan. "Yes, Amber? What is it?" He asked while crossing his arms and leaning against one of the trees. "Why can't I remember my family and my life before Neverland?"

Pan's eyes widened and he nervously glanced away. "You uh-" I shook my head and tugged at his hand. "Pan please. I want to know." Pan bit his lip and stared down at the ground trying to piece together the right words to say. I patiently waited for his response with my arms crossed and my foot tapping against the forest ground. "I asked you if you wanted me to take away your memories and your family's memories so it would be less painful for you and your family. You agreed to do it." My eyes widened and the words he said seemed to hit me like a brick. "wh-wh-what?" I stuttered out. Why would I do such a thing? I stood there shaking my head in disbelief. "Luv.." He reached his hand out but I pushed it away. "No." I whispered out, barely able to speak. I was close to tears and Pan could tell. "Please don't cry." He frowned. "I need to be alone right now Pan." I said while walking away from the camp, sniffling and wiping away tears that slowly fell.
