Later that night, after the bowling and pizza, I talked my dad into going for a walk around his neighborhood when we got home. The houses were HUGE. He lived in the same neighborhood as a few people I'd seen on TV beore, but I couldn't place their names.
"So.. why'd you leave my mom?" I asked, kind of nervous for his reply. "Didn't you like your life?"
"Yeah." My dad said after a shrug. "I wanted to be an actor. And that's what I got."
"So you just left?" I asked. "Without her? Why didn't she come?"
"Well originally, I had planned to bring her out after I landed a role or something. Then Jen became my assistant and she went on and arranged for your mother to be brought out, and a couple days later I was told she denied. I guess she kinda had her own life going. But I didn't know anything about you." My dad went on as if he were only slightly comfortable telling me this. I didn't say anything, just nodded.
Then as we were about to turn the corner a bunch of people with cameras showed up.
"What the fu-" I started but was cut off.
"Who's the kid??" One dude asked. He had greasy, brown hair and big brown eyes.
"Uh.." I trailed off. I was about to ask my dad if we could get the heck out of there as quick as possible when he automatically began telling them about me and how I was his daughter and he didnt even know it. It was like he had rehearsed this in his head. I looked confused and just stood their awkwardly.

Once we were back to his house, we walked through the door to see Jen waiting impatiently at the tall, glass, circular dining table, impatiently tapping her long, red nails on the top.
"Where have you been?!" She shreiked, jumping from the chair. "You've been gone all day!"
"Why didn't you just call him?" I asked, my arms crossed. She gave me a dirty look and locked arms with my father.
"She isnt a very good influence on you so far." She whispered.
"Yeah because you're so innocent." I said sarcastically in a loud and clear voice, wanting her to hear me perfectly. She gave me a look of annoyance and led my father up the large staircase.
"I made you a spot on the couch!" She called to me. I walked into the living room and looked at my 'spot'. I had a small, square, couch pillow and a thin, old blanket.
"Wow." I replied. Then looked off to the corner to see a white and brown chihuahua with a thick, folded, pink quilt underneath it. She was wearing pink knit booties and had a bright blue collar with the name 'Emmy' sewn into the front in dark blue, cursive letters.
"It seems as though this women goes to extremes for her dog." I muttered as I looked past Emmy to see a castle dog crate type thing. I shook my head and laid down on the couch, immediately falling asleep.
The next morning when I woke up I was pretty much alone. Or so I thought. I walked into the kitchen and there sat Jen with about five other woman, all 'oohing' and 'awwing' over wedding catalogs and stuff like that.
"What're you doing?" I asked.
"Aww! Who's the cutie?" one of the ladies asked. She looked so plastic and fake.
Probably too much lipo.
"That's his daughter, Lynnee." Jen replied, not looking up from the dress catalog.
"What are you doing?" I asked again. I hated being ignored.
"Looking for a dress for the wedding. Duh." Jen said.
