They soon fell back into the routine of school and homework. Nothing seemed to have changed, on the first day back the friend's table was crowded with giggling girls asking Belle what Jack had gotten her for Christmas, and if they had had fun at Langdon's New Years Eve party. Belle couldn't actually remember what Jack had gotten her she had been so absorbed with Leo's amazing present, Oscar, to remember anything else so she answered with a not committal "Yeah we had lots of fun, his present was so sweet," before Jenny fiercely shoed them off and they started talking about Belle's birthday on Saturday again. They were all stumped at what to do until Wednesday lunch when Leo ran excitedly to the table not even getting his lunch before, he put down a flyer in the middle of the table and the guys stopped talking to give him a bizarre look.
"The Fair!" he said excitedly dropping himself down in between the twins
"I think he's finally lost it," Ricky told his twin who nodded in response
"Mate I think you've lost it," Joey laughed,
Leo looked over to Belle who had octopus arms wrapped around her, she smiled softly at Leo spurring him on to explain. "For your birthday," he began "We should go to the fair,"
Jenny blinked "That sound awesome," Leo looked at his best friend's best friend in surprise did she actually just agree with me? "Come on B we should so go!" Belle thought about it "What do you think Jack?"
Jack smiled "yeah it sounds fun, wait which day is your birthday again baby?" Leo could have puked why did he insist on calling her that?
"Saturday,"
Jack frowned "its my uncle's wedding this weekend, So I wont be back until Sunday night,"
"Oh its okay, I'll just see you then," she kissed his cheek and smiled softly, "That sounds like fun,"
Belle smiled back to Leo who was staring at the flyer intently "Wait it's your 18th birthday and your going to the fair?" Joey asked
Belle smiled "Hell yeah,"
Ricky shrugged "Sure thing," and carried on eating, Leo stood and headed to get food without another word and Belle followed loyally to see if he was ok.
"I'm going to the Library," Jack announced soon after, leaving the twins and Jenny to look at each other for a moment as though they were checking no one was listening before getting closer
"there is so something going on," Jenny hissed "I know Belle better than anyone, we've hardly done anything these passed few months..." Jenny pouted slightly
The twins looked at each other then back at Jenny and nodded "You don't think they're," Ricky gave a suggestive look
"What B and Leo?" Jenny fretted "Cheating on Jack,"
Joey shook his head "No B wouldn't do that to Jack especially after everything with Laura,"
The three teens paused thinking over everything before Jenny sighed "I'll talk to B," she promised as Leo and Belle sat back down grinning. "So are your Aunt and Uncle flying back today?" Jenny wondered lightly as she ate her pasta
Belle sighed "Yeah, I'm going to miss them so much,"
"Is Max still around?" Ricky said excitedly
"Yes..." Belle said with a raised eyebrow "Why?"
The twins looked at each other around Leo, who was eating and deep in thought "No reason," they both said in unison and Belle shook her head. The rest of the week passed uneventfully until Saturday Morning when Belle was once again woken up by Oscar barking happily, only this time he was accompanied by Janine, Will and Alfie grinning at her as she sat up sleepily
