Seven | Stranger

"What did you do! What the fuck did you do!" I say, screaming, banging at the glass that contains me, "Why didn't you fucking cut mine!? That should have been me!"

I bang on the glass that separates the space between me and Val, or whats left of her. Her body cannot be seen, its crushed with concrete, and is hidden in heaps of lava that was placed underneath her to kill her.

"I-I couldn't do it Abby! I just couldn't do it!" Justin says, falling to the ground, his hands draped around his head like its the only thing holding it together.

"That was supposed to be me! Why didn't you just kill me!?" I yell, my voice cracking with pain.

"I didn't know what to do! I couldn't kill you!" Tears will pouring out of his eyes, not at the fact that he didn't kill me, but at the fact that Val was gone. She was dead. And it was his fault.

Before I could yell back to him, the lights went off and the ground began the shake, "Justin! Justin?! Whats happening?!" I yell out, not sure where he was. No response.

Instead of hearing Justin's voice, there was a deep rattling and then the hand that I saw before. And then all at once, nothing at all.

I wake up to the sound of someone screaming my name. At first the sound is like its a world away, with nothing but plastic muffling the sounds between us. But then its like the two planets get closer together, and the plastic wears out and is getting ripped apart. And soon enough, the sound is right next to me, a piercing wailing sound that hurts my head to even listen to.

I open my eyes, and groan as I sit myself up off of the cold concrete floor. It takes my eyes a few seconds to adjust, my vision being coated with blurriness. But then the all too familiar room lights up like a firework, and my eyes shoot across the room in realization of what happened.

I look to my right, where my name was being called and see Jade right next to me, in a tube exactly like the one I was in. In fact, it is the one I was just in before. Which means... I look down and see blood stained on the concrete. Vals blood. Along with the rust marks from the lava that caved in and coated the floors before me.

"Abby?! Abby what the hell is going on!" Jade yells.

"Jade... I want you to know that everything is gonna be alright. Okay?" I yell towards her, and its like as if my words go right through her, not even reaching her ears.

I look over and see Justin in the platform across from us, terrified, already knowing what he must do again. And this time, Im going to make him choose Jade over me. I wont let anyone else die, besides me.

"Justin!" I yell out, trying to get him to understand and come back to reality. This wasn't gonna happen the same way twice. But his eyes showed nothing but fear, the way his chest would heavily shake when he would take inhale and exhale, and how his sweat would radiate off of his forehead but he was too busy crying to wipe it off. "Justin. Its okay. I want you to cut my wire."

"Abby I cant do this a second time! I just c-cant!"

"Yes Justin, you can! Okay? You can, I believe in you! And you will. I need you to take that knife, walk up to my wire, and cut it? Okay? Thats all you have to do." My voice was calmer than I expected, but my teeth and fists were digging into each other. I didn't want to die, but if it was for my friends, the very people I love most, I would do anything for.

"What do you mean?! What happens when he cuts the wire?!" Jade says, frantically.

"Doesn't matter. He just needs to cut it." I hiss at Jade, trying not to scare Justin off.

"Abby, Abby... Im sorry I cant!" He takes a step closer to Jade's wire. "I just cant..c-cant loose you!"

"Justin please," I say, tears coating my face," just kill me already! PLEASE Justin PLEASE don't do this! Don't let me live!" I say, on my knees, pounding at the glass between us.

But its no use, with one swift motion Justin doesn't even blink as he cuts the wire, and takes Jades life with it. I scream out, flying towards the side of my tube where I can see Jade.

She doesn't even know what happened, before the cement fell and the floor opened, smooshing her and burning her at the same time.

"WHY would you do that!? Why couldn't you just KILL me?! Why couldn't you just do that ONE THING?!" I say, sinking to my knees, "Ive lost everyone. Everyone."

Then the lights go off.
