Hey guys just want to say a huge sorry because I haven't updated in sooo long! I promise to keep trying to write but its so hard because now that school is starting I don't have enough time too! So I wrote this REALLY short chapter which I apologize for, but it does have a lot packed into it. Hope you enjoy and please remember to vote for this story! Thank you!!!••••
"Okay, everyone just take a moment. Nobody press anything. Abby, you need to get up, come on babe nothings gonna happen everything's gonna be okay," Ashton says carefully.
I refuse to stand up, my brain still processing Val and everyone's body. "I cant." I mutter out, not being able to even open my eyes.
"Yes, you can, come on. I know you can come on just stand up. Please, you dont have to open your eyes." He says, in a sweet tone. I try to stand up but I cant, my mind is racing too much and I feel like I'm gonna pass out.
"Ashton, back off, we have to figure this out without her. Look at her! Theres no way she's gonna be able to make a decision like this in the state she is! We have to protect her," Justin says, "No matter what."
"Youre right." Ashton says.
"Hey, hey, what are we talking about? We can't make any decisions without her, thats not part of the rules." Connor says, sounding rather worried.
"The rules? Thats what you care about? Not about someone dying?" I say, "Why are you so worried about breaking the fucking rules?"
"Because, thats not how you play the game. He wont let us go if we dont play the game right. Thats not how you play the game." Connor says frantically, rather... insane-like.
"...What do you mean by he?" Justin pipes in. My eyes fly open.
"Yea, Connor, what do you mean by he?" I say, pressing.
He looks scared, like he said something he didn't mean to, "I mean... I mean the person that put us in here. The person thats you know, is doing all this." He says, starting to noticeably sweat.
"I remember you telling me you knew who was behind this... So, Connor, tell us, who's doing all this? Do you know?" I ask, more maniacally than I intended it to be. He shakes his head numerous times, with a guilty looking face.
"I-I... I do, but I cant say anything. He'll kill you, me, all of us." He says, starting to panic.
"Yeah? Oh, like we're not all gonna get killed in here? Tell us who he is, Connor for God's sake!" Justin raises his voice at him, making Connor shake a little.
"It wont make a difference if I tell you anyways! The only thing that will happen is we will all die here and now instead of one of us making it to the finish line and living, getting out of here!" Connor screams back, terrified.
"Oh, and you just wont tell us to save your own ass! You don't care about the rest of us all you care about is yourself!" Justin screams, making Connor begin to cry and drop to the floor.
I look at Connor with tears in my eyes, instead of getting to him with anger I'm gonna try to get to him with passion and love. "Connor... Connor just look at me please?" He looks the taddest bit up so I can see his eyes through his hair. "If you know who did this, and maybe we know him too, it can help us all, all get out of here. Dont you want that? For me and you to both get out of here alive and live the life we were supposed to?"
He cries once more, not sure of what to do. "I know you dont want to put us in any danger," I say," but nothing else bad can happen because of this. We're already gonna die, and if you can help us, then do it. Please, you owe me that much."
He's still for a moment, no expression on his face. "Okay, okay..." he starts to say, my face and everyone else's come as close to Connor as we can in anticipation," Abby, you're not gonna like the answer. But its... its um, its our dad."
"My....dad?"
The one thats dead?
Or, supposed to be?
