Michael saw Luke at school the next day, he walked up to him shyly as he stood with all his friends.

"Hi."

"Luke who's this?" A friend asked, looking at Michael.

"Uh... I dont know." He replied, gulping.

"Wait what?" He asked.

"He says he doesnt know you. So bye." The friend said rudely.

Michael had tears in his eyes as he walked away, ignoring Calum's attempts at calming him.

Luke didnt want him unless the relationship was private. Was he ashamed?

Why was he ashamed of Michael?

Was he not pretty enough?

Michael sat outside, not caring if people saw him crying, they didnt say anything anyways.

Luke came running out, immediately spotting the boy.

"Michael I-"

"Leave me alone!" Michael screamed.

Luke's eyes widened slightly as he watched Michael. He had never been like this before.

"I've sat everyday for a year wondering what the hell I did to make you leave me! Everyone's pretending like we were never together, you're pretending like nothing happened! We all know it did! Why did you have to make me think you loved me at all just to leave again?!"

Michael was sobbing now and people were staring.

"I'm sorry!" Luke cried. "How would I even begin to explain to my friends who you are?!"

"You shouldn't care." He wiped his eyes and grabbed his bag.

"It's fine. You wont have to worry about me anymore." Michael spat and walked out the school, leaving Luke in angry tears. He huffed and stormed back inside.

Only when he was in the first lesson did it click to him.

Michael went home.

"You wont have to worry about me anymore."

He gasped, standing up and grabbing his bag, rushing out of class and ignoring everyone who tried to call him back.

He had to save Michael from himself.
