"And all the shit I got away with, done with that, I'm done with that. How were you to know you'd see me all the time? How were you to know I'd be crawling back?" ~ DON BROCO ~ Nerve
Luke refused to let go of Michael the next morning.
"Luuuke!" Michael whined, flailing around in the blonde's grip.
"No, I love you too much," Luke replied.
"If you love me let me go!" Michael yelled.
"Did you just Brendon Urie me?" Luke raised an eyebrow.
"Uh... no..." Michael blushed. "Fuck off."
He eventually managed to wriggle out of Luke's grip and fell on the floor, walking to the bathroom to take his pill.
He eyed himself in the mirror, pleading to himself that he wouldn't start picking his appearance apart. It always ruined his mood.
He swallowed the pill and let out a loud sigh, which was heard from Luke as he entered the bathroom as well.
"I know you hate doing it..." He mumbled sadly, standing behind Michael so that they were reflected in the mirror.
Michael nodded silently. "But I'll do it for you."
Luke's smile was small yet noticeable as they looked at the mirror. Michael was focusing on Luke and Luke was focusing on Michael.
Luke suddenly grabbed Michael and twirled him around the room for a bit, finally pulling him in to rest snuggled up in his chest.
He swayed Michael about a little, trying to get his mind off anything that might be bothering him. He grabbed his hand, slowly running his thumb over the ring on his finger.
"You're still sure you want me to have this?" Michael whispered, talking about the ring.
"I do." Luke nodded.
The swirling of Luke's thumb on his skin made Michael relax a lot more.It was true, Luke did plan to propose. He just didn't want to do it too soon, him and michael were still broken and that wouldn't fix things.
He'd planned the proposal over and over in his head, trying to think of the most romantic or significant way to do so but he wasn't really the creative type. Michael was, but he couldn't exactly ask Michael.
He wanted something that would make Michael almost die, but not literally because then he couldn't marry him.
He imagined Michaels eyes sparkling beautifully like they used to before he was sad.
He imagined crystal tears falling from those eyes and he imagined michael on their wedding day.
"Luke...?" Michael snapped him out of his daydream.
"Uhh. What?" Luke scratched the back of his head.
"You were kind of just stood there... Smiling." Michael giggled. "What were you thinking about?"
"Nothing."
"I don't believe you. Tell me."
"Chicken nuggets."
"Chicken nuggets?" Michael raised an eyebrow.
"I'm hungry." Luke blushed. "Wanna go out?"
"I guess so, give me ten minutes."
Luke lay on the bed on his phone, not really paying attention to the boy getting dressed in front of him.
"I'm done." Michael announced as Luke locked his phone.
After the two had gotten their food they sat in a booth in the quiet place.
"I wouldn't have done it, you know." Michael mumbled.
Luke looked saw down at the scars michael picked at and gulped.
"I wouldn't have done it but I didn't expect to see you so much. Like everyday actually." His eyes brows furrowed together.
"And then, I wouldn't have done it if I thought I was gonna get you back. Now they're here forever."
Luke could see Michael was getting upset so he pulled the boys hand away from his arm and rolled his sleeve down.
"I am back though." Luke smiled slightly. "And I'm not leaving."
"Ever?"
"Ever." Luke confirmed, leaning over the table to seal the promise with a kiss.
