P.O.V. Adish Sprague, Africa

The ball flies through the air and lands with a thud on the ground in front of me. I immediately run and kick it to my teammates.  Soon, we have complete control of the ball. Jaji kicks the ball as hard as he can, and it's a goal! I jog over to Jaji and the others to cheer with them for our victory. After our small celebration, we shake hands with the other team members and congratulate them for a good game.

"Hey, Adish!" I turn to see my older brother waving from the line of trees.
"Dakarai!" I run to my brother and other hunters. Every day my brother, Dakarai, leaves early in the morning with the other hunters of our village. We live in the rural, dry plains in the poorer countries of Africa so we don't really have access to electricity. We need to hunt and forage for most of our food and we frequently trade with nearby villages.

"What's up, little bro?" Dakarai wraps his arm around me and holds up an antelope carcass, "Think this is enough food for all three of us?" he asks. I shrug,
"Maybe. My team won the soccer game today."
"Alright! Hey, where's Imani?" Dakarai asks. I gesture to a path leading into the forest,
"Somewhere in there." We walk back to our hut to prepare the meat.

As we skin the carcass, a question forms in my mind, "How old do you have to be to join the Hunters?" Dakarai stops skinning and sets down his knife. With a worried look, he speaks,
"Sixteen. Why?" I shrug and continue my work without looking at him,
"I don't know. I was just wondering if I should join since I'm turning sixteen next month." I reply.
"No!" Dakarai slams his hands down on the table, "I don't want you going out there! It's too dangerous." I look at him amazed. Never before had he said I couldn't do something. He even let me play with the older kids when I was around seven years old and they liked to climb tall trees and see how far they could fall before grabbing onto a nearby branch.

"What are you getting so worked up about? I only said I was thinking about it." I raise my hands in defense. Dakarai sighs and lowers his head,
"I just don't want to lose any more of our family. We've already lost Dad on a scouting mission. We lost Mom to a disease. All we have left is each other and Imani. We need to stay strong. Joining the Hunters is suicide." I stare, dumbstruck, at my older brother, the man who has taken care of Imani and I since our parents died. The man who always protected us when things got rough. The man who loves my sister and I to no extent. I sigh and look down at my hands.
"I won't join next month." I say quietly. Dakarai smiles as he raises his head. He opens his mouth to speak but I stop him, "But I'm not saying I won't ever not join." I finish. Dakarai's smile disappears and he nods.

We finish cleaning the meat in silence. Just as we finish, Imani runs in waving a wax sealed envelope in her hand.
"I found a letter,  I found a letter!" she shouts. Dakarai and I walk over to her. Dakarai picks her up by the waist and spins her around,
"Hey, kiddo!" he says. I smile at Imani and take her from Dakarai.
"How you doing, Imani?" I ask her with a smile.
"The post man came by the road and he gave me this letter. He said to 'give it to Adish' so here I am, giving it to you!" she says. My smile grows larger.

Whenever Imani is near you can't help but smile. She has an aura around her that makes her so likable. That's the Dimension I see. The Fire/Light or Love Dimension. It may seem awkward that a guy sees the Love Dimension but it isn't strange at all. I just see the amount of Love someone has by looking at their aura. If it's dim, they don't have a lot of Love, but if it's bright and bold, they have a lot of Love. My sister has the brightest aura I have ever seen. My brother has a bold aura but ever since our parents died, it's been duller than usual.

"Open it, open it!" Imani repeats. We're standing behind the desk with the letter in front of us.
"But we don't know who it's from." I say. I notice the light red flames surrounding the A and U on the wax deal. Dakarai walks in and puts a hand on one of Imani and I's shoulders.
"You two still deciding whether or not to open that letter?" he asks.
"Yeah." we reply in unison. Dakarai sighs, leans forward, and grabs the letter. He shoves it in my hand and walks away.
"Just open it! It can't be anything bad!" he shouts over his shoulder. I sigh and look at the letter.
"What am I so afraid of? It's just a letter." I think to myself. I slowly peel apart the wax from the paper. Pulling out a creme colored paper I begin to read. After I finish, I look down at Imani. "Oh. My. Deer."

Hey-o! Sorry this chapter was so short I haven't had a lot of time to write. What did ya think of Adish? Is he cool or what? A guy who sees the Fire/Light/Love Dimension. Bet you didn't see that coming, did ya? And what did you think of his siblings, especially Imani? It was hard to decide on her personality so I hope you guys liked it. Just a few more P.O.V.s to go of the main characters. After the last one, I'll start using third-person view. That's all for now!
