Running, faster! Faster! Her lungs screamed at her to stop but right now her life depended on it.
How do you breathe again? Oh! Right! In, out, In, out.
Twigs tore through her skin leaving small scraps and cuts in her legs and sides.
Run faster! Her body screamed as she ran through the forest with great difficulty. A low grunt erupted from behind her, several more followed.
You need to go faster! A heavy pant erupted from her throat.
She stumbled. No, she couldn't have a set back like this but she just couldn't regain her balance in time! It was too late!
It jumped onto her, it's ugly beady eyes stared down at her unmoving figure. Brown hair a mess and vivid green eye frantically searching for an escape root. Slobber coated her chest.
She knew what to do! She grabbed her knife from her side pocket and stabbed it into the creatures throat, crimson blood decorating her. She panted, there was more. Her own blood soaked through her white tank top and straight through onto her jacket. She couldn't defend herself like this. They would certainly kill her.
No fear she breathed. Inhale...Exhale. She just couldn't continue on. She had definitely broke something earlier.
The thing shuffled towards her, it seemingly moved in rhythm. Front paw, 3 second hesitation, back paw. It did this continually. Just as it had finally approached the brown haired girl who sat in fear on the ground.
"Hey!?" The sound of metal meeting metal blocked out most of the voice.
The repeated banging of metal to metal shut out all other noise as the beast ran away startled.
She was picked up off the ground by a relatively strong pair of arms which carried her back to what seemed to be a large house. She didn't see much as she had blacked out not far back. She felt safe for once. Safe at last
