Oh God. Oh God. Tell me I'm not dreaming please. Tell me.
Next thing I know, the tears are now blurring my sight. Any minute now babagsak na sila. I'm still looking at him even though all I can see as of now is his silhouette.
I heard him sigh softly bago ako kinabig sa isang mahigpit na yakap. Ulit.
I hugged him back as the tears rolled down my cheeks. I sobbed at his chest. This isn't a dream Amber. He's here. Brix is here. My childhood bestfriend is here, hugging me tightly and caressing my hair gently as I sobbed.
"Oh God Amber. Iyakin ka pa rin pala." He muttered chuckling. "Come on. Hush. I'm real. I'm here. And I'm never leaving again." Muli ay wika niya at hinalikan ang tuktok ng ulo ko.
"Nakakainis ka! Bakit kasi ngayon ka lang nagpakita. Pakshet ka." Humihikbi ko pa ring sambit. He suddenly disappeared when I was seven! He suddenly disappeared even before my eight birthday came!
Narinig ko ulit siyang tumawa bago ako inihiwalay sa kanya at punasan ang luhaan kong mukha.
"Aish. Amber naman e! Kasalanan nga kasi yun ni Papa. And that was a surprise! It was Lola's request too. Ang akala ko bakasyon lang yun but turns out they decided to settle in London for good. It's my parents choice. I can't go agaisnt it. You know them too well. You know I can't." Brix explained. His face etched with longing and sorry. Once again ay yumakap ako sa unang una kong bestfriend.
"I know." I whispered. "And I know your Lola too. Then why didn't you bade goodbye at least?"
He sighed once again at yumakap na pabalik. "Papa won't let me. He actually have two bodyguards to guard me. Kinausap siya ni Mama but to no avail he didn't waver. And we also fled that night too using Tito's chopper. I badly want to talk to you before I go. I want to say goodbye. But Papa make sure I can't. I'm sorry for disappearing the night before your eight birthday came A."
I pouted. So it's Tito's fault pala?
"Sige na. Apology accepted na. At least you're here now. Thank you for coming back Jackstone." I said chuckling. Old times. I miss those childhood memories.
Brix scowled at ginulo ang buhok ko bigla. Agad akong lumayo at sinapak siya sa braso.
"Yah! Not my hair!" I groaned while fixing it using my fingers. A glare directed at him. Such a ruiner.
"You never changed. At hanggang ngayon tanda mo pa rin yung pang-asar mo sa akin!" He said with a sour face. He never really like the nickname I gave him. It's cute for me!
I grinned at Brix annoyingly. "Don't tell me hanggang ngayon wala ka pa ring pang-asar sa akin?" I asked laughing. Sumimangot ito habang matalim ang tingin sa akin. Then suddenly a familiar smile took over his lips.
Oh no. I knew that smile too well. I immediately stand up and backed away from him.
"RUN!" Brix shouted and that's my cue to run. He's going to tickle me to death for sure! Gawain niya yung nung bata pa kami! His smile is always like that!
I run laughing and Brix too. Old times. I wish to bring it all back.
