Chapter 8 Healing

Time heals all wounds, time heals all wounds. It had been days since Vincent died. I had his dog tag in my hand just thinking about what he said Spartans never die. So after days passed and after his funeral, I was ready to go back to war. But was it really worth it? Going through this process of the war games, constant surgery just to fit in a suit, for what? Fighting a war I don't think we'll win? I sighed just started thinking again on my way to an interrogation of a head elite officer. Time heals all wounds, I kept thinking that. Ryan is still pretty shaken up, I let him take his time work on his own pace for now. But when we need to move, I can't have him like that. He needs to be focused and I- "Sir, we are awaiting your orders, shall we proceed with the interrogation?" I didn't notice that I had gotten off the pelican and into the room. "Of course let's find out what we need to know" I said. I walked in the room and found the elite sitting in a chair. I looked at his files and found out he captured a artifact that we needed in order to give us a boost in the war. I then walked up to him and slammed the artifact in front of him. "Where is it" I said. "Where's what try and be more specifi- I punched him in the face and shoved his head to the screen. "This" I said. "I'll never tell you foolish huma-I punched him again and then grabbed a knife and was making a small slice on his throat as he talked. Purple blood started pouring out. "Okay I'll talk, it's in my ship the destroyer" he said. "UNSC forces have already intercepted the ship sir, shall we send a strike team?" A marine said. "Not yet I'm going with the strike team" I replied. I then pointed a pistol at his head and said "Thanks but this is for every marine you've killed you bastard" after that I killed him. "Come on men we've got what we came for" as we left to intercept and bring down the ship.
