Chapter 2 Old Friends

(Vincent's POV)
I walked into the room were Ryan told me to go. I saw Jose sitting on the medical bed with Ryan sitting next to him. "Well looks like a little someone is awake", I said. "Awwww, so you did miss me" Jose replied. "Shut up", I said. "Sorry to interrupt your bromance guys, but looks like we got another battle to fight" Ryan told us. Me and Jose just looked at him and said "Bruh", "What" Ryan said. "First of all it is not a bromance" Jose said, "And second of all were in on the mission because we already knew about it", Vince added. "Then it's settled" Jose said. "Well let's get straight to it", I said. "Jose will you be fine" Ryan asked. Don't you worry about me old man". Vince just laughed.
(Jose's POV)
We were fighting a good amount of time. Marines dying, aliens falling back and dying. But it's not enough. Eventually the covenant made us fall back because wraths, banshees, and more elites and hunters came back to us. "Fall back, we need to fall ba-", Cutup didn't finish his sentence because of a headshot. "Cutup!!" James shouted but he got killed by a plasma grenade. Marines were falling back. Not everyone made it. So many died. Not even are secondary hold out couldn't push back the aliens. We called for emergency Pelicans, Falcons, and Hornets. As we were leaving our ride got hit. "Everyone get your wing suits on", I shouted. Everyone jumped out, but the pelican exploded with a lot of solders still on it. I didn't see Ryan or Vincent anywhere until an arm grabbed me. "Ryan" I said, "where's Vincent" I said. He turned and I saw Vince in life support. His arms were gone. He was still alive, but in a coma. "What happened" I asked. "Well, I jumped out, a falcon caught me, when Vince was falling a grabbed his leg, but his arms were missing. I asked how that happened, he said his arms fell when the explosion happened". "Will he be okay" I asked. "He'll be fine, but he'll need robotic arms". "As long as he's okay, we'll make together", I said. "This entire invasion was a slaughter, they were waiting for us" Ryan said looking down at the battlefield were marines are dying, ships crashing, and bases crumbling. "We're are we going" Ryan asked. "Sword base" I replied.
