Jason's P.O.V

This Niall kid... He's got it bad. It's a brotherly thing I guess, to know when someone's falling for your sister. But I was never around her enough to get to experience that side of life.

I remember that music box I have her when she left to move to London after my wedding. I made her promise not to open it until she saw me again. I want her to open it in front of Niall. Then I'll see what he really feels for her.

"Ellie." I call out once I'm sure she's finished unpacking her stuff in the guest bedroom. The three of them made it seem like it was no big deal that they shared a room.

She comes rushing down the stairs and eagerly looks up to me.

"Yeah?" She says, trying to hide her Cheshire Cat smile.

"Do you have your music box?" I ask, adding a quick smirk at the end.

Her eyes widen and she runs to her room.

She happily bounces down the hallway carrying the floral patterned box.

"Go get your friends." I urge as she gently places the box in my hands.

She runs back to the room as I call for Janelle.

Janelle comes from the kitchen with out two bundles of joy in her hands no sooner than Niall and Liam appear from the guest room.

We all take a seat on the couch as Ellie sits on the only chair on the opposite side of our reading nook with the box placed gently in her hands.

She clicks the lock open after waiting since she was 15. Three years of her life she's been waiting to click open that lock.

Ellie's eyes widen I shock as she realizes what's inside.

A song.

My watch goes off. "Time to go to work." I sigh to Janelle.

"Can you three take care of the twins until we get back home?" I direct the question towards Ellie.

She silently nods and heads upstairs to the baby room to get them.

"Take care of her." I whisper to the two remaining boys as I shut the front door.

Niall's P.O.V

I follow Ellie upstairs to go get the twins. Harry, Louis and Zayn are planning on surprising Ellie while we're still in New York so Liam is going to pick them up with the excuse that he 'forgot something at the airport'.

I walk in the room and my eyes land on Ellie, who is sitting in the rocker. She has both the babies in her arms.

"Sing for me." I suddenly urge once she puts them back in their cribs.

She simply takes the music box from my hands and turns the knob, starting the music.

The worlds come out of her mouth effortlessly, as if it were a song she knew very well. She didn't even need to read the sheet.

"When I was a child
they'd ask me where it hurt
and wipe the tears from my eyes

Sure embraces,
gentle forehead kisses
making sure that I was alright

As I grew older and the nights grew shorter
I no longer cared where it hurt

All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
there to cradle me to sleep
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
there to cradle me to sleep

Scars they heal in time
the raw wounds on my mind
they aren't so easily fixed

You can't mend what isn't broken
Kind words are rarely spoken
in time I will learn this

But I grow older
and the nights grow shorter
drowning as I sink or swim

All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
there to cradle me to sleep
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
there to cradle me to sleep

Sticks and stones they break me to the bone
Words they cut they will always hurt me

Please be my saving Grace
Please be my saving Grace

How to answer all my prayers

Please be my saving Grace

All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
there to cradle me to sleep
and all I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
there to cradle me to sleep

Sticks and stones they break me to the bone
Words they cut, they will always hurt me
Sticks and stones they break me to the bone
Words they cut, they will always hurt me."

She finishes, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Why are you crying?" I grab her face and wipe her tears for her, using my thumbs.

"My parents would sing Jason and I that song every night before we went to bed." She sniffs.

The song is called Whiskey Lullabies by Janet Devlin.
