As I sat down in my usual seat at Betsy's, I reached over to pull a new Newsletter for this week. I flipped it over to the back, excitedly checking for a new horoscope. I knew it was a weekly thing, but every now and then, there were 'special additions' or something. And.. Yes! There was a new one. And it was my favorite type, the ones that list off how your week will go. They usually appear once a month, in the middle of the month. This will be so helpful, I thought, even though I was already pretty far into the week. My eyes were quick to devour the horoscope under the Aquarius sign.

June 5th, 2013. ~ Aquarius

Monday is a museum of amazements. You're well aware of how big and weird the world is, but seldom have you been able to see as much meaning in things as you do at the start of the week. By Wednesday, you're swimming in a swarm of discoveries, each one bright and small and exciting. Thursday is full of learning, but there's nothing academic about Friday. Romantic, creative Friday is all about sparks. On Saturday you get to show off your impressive communication abilities. The skills you need on Sunday are manual: A few things need fixing.

Ok, so the Monday was right. I smiled. I didn't know much about Tate, although I was trying to find out about him. I knew the world was big and weird. Some people just showed me how strange and confusing it could be. They didn't have one for Tuesday, which was disappointing. I could probably make my own about the day before, though. "You will find out nothing about Tate and practically be forced to go to a party with Henry, who wont take a hint." Haha, very funny. I thought sarcastically to myself. And today was Wednesday which, according to my Horoscope, meant I would discover many things. I just knew that today I could get Henry to talk about Tate.

I hurried home to pick up Preston, before my mother could send him off to school on his own. I checked my time: 7:30. I had to be at school by 8:00, I was lucky it was only a few minutes away. I got home and Preston was still there, happily munching away on his toast. It was burnt, meaning he probably had to make it himself. His outfit consisted of an orange sweater and red pants. That meant he dressed himself too. I knew it because the orange sweater used to belong to me, I cant believe I ever wore that gaudy thing. I ran upstairs to grab him his jeans and his shirt that said "RAWR! I'm a dinosaur!" It was complete with a cute little drawing of a T-Rex that looked as if it was eating the word "RAWR!" I brought them downstairs, giving Preston the clothes to change in to. When he was finished I made sure he drank his glass of orange juice and ate his fruit before heading on our way to school.

Although I don't have a bike, there are other ways that I could get to school than walking. Like that mystical unicorn that sits in our driveway. If only. No, maybe not, but I did have a bike. I thought I could ride to school with him, but unfortunately, my adorable, pink bicycle with the white basket on it was kind of in what I would say as a bike coma. Yes, tragic. Too rusted to itself to even think of helping me drop my brother off at school with maximum velocity. I can't blame it though. I wouldn't want to be responsible for that many of my owner's injuries either. So I walked beside my brother while he peddled on his green bike with bright red flames stickers. He stuck those on himself.

"So, little buddy," I said my pet name for him with a smile tugging on my lips, "How's school been treating you lately?"

"Good, There's a new girl in our class," He said these last words with a softness I have never been able to recognize in anyone else's voice. My parents have their issues, but they must have done something right to have a child like Preston.
