Some bizarre circumstances could put you in the public eye. Combine your ingenuity with your sense of humor to find ways of expanding your skills.

Lucky Numbers - 7, 9, 12, 22, 30, 34

I underlined bizarre and circled my lucky numbers while Imagine Dragons blared from my headphones.

"What can I get ya, sweet pea?" Betsy asked from behind the counter.

I removed my headphones, turning off my music. "The usual, please," I said as I doodled a heart on the side of my horoscope. Betsy, the owner of the coffee shop, set a coffee cup and a chocolate chip banana muffin down beside me. I folded the napkin under the coffee cup into a perfectly even triangle.

I liked things to be perfect. That was one of the few things I could decide on my own. Of course everyone down at the coffee shop, Betsy's Corner, knew that about me. Now I don't mean everyone. Only the regulars and the workers who seemed to be there 24/7. They knew a lot about me, but I wouldn't say we were best friends.

No, my friends were much different. They were the kind of kids who pulled pranks, played hooky, and bragged about all of the bad things they plan to do because their parents just don't understand.

Note the sarcasm. Not really sure why I use it because my parents don't understand either. If only I was more like them. I use sarcasm a lot.

So maybe the guys at the coffee shop weren't like my regular friends, but they knew more about me than my parents did.

"Yo Ashton!" a voice yelled from the back of the shop.

The greeting twinkle of the bell did not match the sight before my eyes. My "best friend" Tally was walking toward me, her leather boots clicking on the hard wooden floor.

"You up for the party tonight at Henry's?" Tally asked.

"Will Henry be there?" I asked.

"Most likely since its his party." She scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"Well, then no." I said, turning back to my horoscope.

"C'mon!!" Tally starting to make a scene as she stomped her foot on the floor."He really likes you!"

"Well I don't like him! He's really self centered, wears to much black, his hairs way too greasy to run your fingers through...may I go on?" Then it occurred to me in that moment that he was totally perfect for Tally. At least that's what it read in her horoscopes. "On second thought, Tals, why don't you give him a shot?"

"Oh my god! As if Ash!" She barked, but I could see her cheeks reddening.

"There might actually be a good reason to go tonight! I could set you two up while I flirt with the jocks! There will be jocks, right? Because you know how I am with jocks! I go crazy!" I said. My friend laughed at my sarcasm. Of course if you didn't know me well enough you'd probably think I was serious, I was just that good.

Sure those popular boys were good eye candy, but as soon as they open their mouths, they were NOT that much fun to look at. You see, my kind of people really didn't hang out with their kind of people.

Popular girls who were super flirty with the jocks and were cheerleaders or head of the school board(and head of the cheerleaders uniforms) were the kind of girls who jocks liked. That wasn't me. Of course, there was one popular boy I wouldn't mind clinging to,but not even the marvelous Tally could get that one out of me.

Maybe we weren't the kind of people the popular kids hung out with. But there's one thing us 'losers' were good for, and that was throwing one hell of a party.
