Wirt's POV:

Dipper led me to a curtain in the gift shop. "Tada!" He exclaimed as he pulled back the curtain to reveal a ladder.

"Er... A ladder?"

"Haha, its not the ladder I'm showing you.. Its what the ladder leads to!" He started going up the ladder.

"Uh.."

He looked down at me and smiled. "Come on! Its really cool I promise."

"Okay, sorry." I apologized smiling slightly and started climbing.

I reached the top of the ladder only to reach a small flat area of the roof with a beach chair, ice cooler, and an umbrella. Dipper was already sitting down at the edge, which seemed kind of dangerous. He smiled and patted next to him, as a gesture to sit next to him.

I blushed smiling back and sat down next to him. "Um, isn't this kind of dangerous?" I asked, a little uneasy about the length of the potential fall.

"Nah, as long as you're careful. I've been coming up here since I was 12."

"Oh, I'm a little clumsy..."

"Don't worry if you fall, I will catch you." He smiled.

I blushed and stared at him. It started to become silent and awkward, so I looked away. It was an uncomfortable silence and I felt as if I was burning. I decided to fill in the silence by make conversation. "So the sun set is really beautiful."

"Yeah." He said almost dream-like.

"Soft swirls of warm pastels
blending together
to create a watercolor sky
turning cold and dark
a never ending cycle
almost like life itself."

"I didn't know you were a poet, Wirt."

"Um uh, well I'm not. I just like to make up little poems."

"I liked it."

"It really wasn't good. It-it had no structure. No structure at all!"

"Don't be so hard on yourself I thought it was perfect."

It got silent but not an awkward silence like the last time, this time it was nice. Like I could be myself and not have to worry. But as it got silent it also got cold and dark.

I shivered and hugged Dipper. He was warm and smelled good, best of all he hugged back. Suddenly I pulled back. "Sorry." I apologized and fidgeted away from him.

"No, its alright." He put his arm around me and pulled me closer into him. Closer than we were before.

We stayed cuddling like that and watched the stars chattering away, well until I fell asleep. "Wirt? Wirt! Hey, we should get to bed." Dipper shaked me lightly.

"What?" I asked groggily rubbing my eyes.

"We should get to bed."

"Oh yeah... Um where am I going to sleep?"

"Oh um.. You could sleep in my bed. I-I would sleep on the floor though..." He blushed.

"I don't want to kick you out of your bed."

"I'm not going to let you sleep on the floor."

"What about that armchair in the living room?"

"That's bad for your back."

"Well, where am I supposed to sleep then?"

"My bed."

"I am not going to kick you out of your own bed."

"Well, maybe we could both fit on my bed."

"Alright."

We went down the ladder and up the stairs to the attic. "Hey, Wirt! Are you going to borrow one of Dipper's shirts to sleep in? I have to do laundry." Mabel said once we walked in.

"Uh..." I looked at Dipper questionably.

"Oh, uh yeah here." He opened a dresser drawer and pulled out a plain black T-shirt and gray shorts.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

"No really its really nice of you to let Greg and me stay here." I wanted to say more but I felt a little awkward.

"Thanks for staying we are kind of crazy here." Mabel said as Dipper smiled.

"Hey Mabel are we going to build that fort now?" Greg asked.

"Yeah! Hey Dipper can I borrow your blanket?"

"Wirt and I need it."

"The fort only needs one more blanket before it is complete.."

Dipper sighed. "Oh all right." He handed over his blanket. "Sorry, Wirt."

"Um do you mind if I take a shower?" I asked.

"Oh, uh, yeah sure go ahead. There are towels in the closet." He smiled.

I went inside the bathroom and hopped in the shower. I really think I might be falling in love. It sounds crazy because I barely know him, but I just feel safe and complete. I feel found.

As the water beads hit my back all I could think about was Dipper..... And how the water was scalding my flesh! "AHHHHHHHH!!!" I screamed. I jumped away from the lava-like liquid but I jumped to fast and slipped.

"Wirt?!? Wirt!! Are you okay what happened?!" Dipper asked frantically from the other side of the door.

"Dipper? The water burned me and I-I slipped.. I think I hit my head." I answered meekly as I laid there in pain.

"Do you need help?"

"I-I uh, um, well, I-I'm not wearing anything..." I said blushing. I felt so stupid. I am always messing up!

"Uh.... If you can put a towel around your waist I can check for any bumps or burns."

"I'll try..." I turned off the water with my foot and reached for my towel. I couldn't reach while laying down, so I carefully stood up and wrapped the towel around my waist. "Okay, I have a towel."

He came in and went to the sink and took a first aid kit out. "I told you i was clumsy." I groaned.

He started scanning my head for any bumps. "I don't see any bumps but," he kissed the top of my head causing me to blush, "I hope that makes it feel better. And for your back I can put some aloe vera on it, there aren't any actual burns but whatever."

"Thanks, Dipper."

"No problem, I'm sorry I forgot to warn you about how the water seems fine at first but then it turns into lava. Please don't sue us."

"Heh heh, its okay I won't sue you."

"Alright, I should let you get changed into your pajamas." Dipper said standing up.

"Okay, thanks again!" I gave him a big cheesy smile.

"No problem!" He smiled and closed the door.
