Dear River;
You have left me dazed and confused, it has only been one day but never mind. We were both people who were unknown or I could say 'in the dark', it feels like you have left me in the dark which I thought you enjoyed, clearly not. Im sorry for what happened, Im so sorry.
I know I'm not going to send him this letter, thats just cringey. That doesn't mean I want to thoughhh...
Its currently 6am and I have been up all night thinking about what happened yesterday. I know that I have to see River and Sarah, which will be fun.
*four hours later
"Hey sky" Sarah said whilst holding River's hand. How could she. River was smirking too which pissed me of, he wasn't even smirking at me, River was smirking at Sarah. "hey Sarah" I said back biting my tongue. I didn't want to look jealous, not one bit. "Soo do you wanna go to a party at mine tomorrow seen as its teacher training the next day?" She asked politely which was confusing. "Yeah sure, what time?" I answered with a smile, maybe I have the wrong idea of Sarah, still. "Well it starts at 9, you can come whenever though!" At this point River hadn't even looked at me, "Ok I will see you there, I cant wait!" The two both walked away still holding hands while swaying them up and down.
Well this is going to be interesting, I have never been to a party before and I am 17! I know that's bad. I hope River is there so I can impress him.
* day of the party
"hey mom, could I go to a friends house pleaasseee" I said with a large grin. "yes sure darling just make sure you aren't back too late, love you." My mom is chill so is my dad, I'm so lucky.
I have chose my outfit, I have put on some mascara and winged eye liner, now I just need to get changed. Im wearing some blue ripped jeans and my succulent plant crew neck jumper with my white converse. Playing it casual ya feel me. I have brought my notebook if I get bored...
As I enter the house full of people I instantly hear cheering and the smell of smoke, I can feel it start to linger on me which is always fun.
Straight away I can see River, without Sarah which is a first. He is sitting in a circle of people and I think they are playing spin the bottle, I can't see the bottle so it could be never have I ever. I think the best approach is to just sit down and say hey guys "Ohh heyy Skylar" a boy called Corey said (I used to have huge crush on him when I was younger) "hellooo Corey" I said smiling, I sat right next to him so I could stay comfortable. River looked up at me and slightly smiled at me noticing I was having small talk with another boy. "Uhh we are just playing truth or dare" River choked up and I nodded, I didn't know what to say.
"Skyyy its your go!" some girl said kind of obnoxiously, she was drunk so it doesn't matter. I looked around the circle of people and fixed my eyes on Rivers eyes for a few seconds "River." I said. "Truth or dare" I asked quite loudly so that he could hear over the noise of the loud music and loud people. "Truth" he said with no hesitation. "Why do you hate me?" I asked very quickly (I was drunk by this point) "I don't." River said bluntly. That's it, that is all he said.
