Also realised that bc this is the 40's, I don't think they had straighteners so Dan has had hobbit hair throughout it all :]

I HAD SOME SERIOUS WRITERS BLOCK WHEN WRITING THIS BUT I POWERED THROUGH AND MADE WHAT I COULD WITH WHAT CREATIVITY I COULD MUSTER UP.

Phil's POV.

I watched as Dan walked quickly out of my room. We waited until the door was closed to speak.

"Phil come sit on the bed with me please" My mother's voice sounded so calm but deep inside there was definitely some disappointment. I quickly make my way over to my bed and sat down next to mum.

"I know you've told me about that crush you have on Dan"
"Mum stop I-"
"No" Mum cut me off. "Listen please. He dragged you out of the house at near enough midnight without an explanation to either me or your father and I was worried sick! I wouldn't have minded as much if you had told me where you were going but you didn't and-"
"Mum I'm sorry but like Dan said, I wasn't feeling the best so he took me outside for some fresh air."

She took a deep breath and took my hands into her own.

"Phil, I'm going to leave you both to sleep now but in the morning please come and see me with Dan so I can talk to you both." She spoke sternly. I just nodded as she left my room.

Dan's POV.

I was so caught up in their conversation, I almost didn't realise that Lisa was on her way out.

I quickly jumped and sprinted to my own room.

"Dan, sweetie. Could I come in please?" I heard Lisa speak from outside my room.
I hum in reply and she walked in on me laying in bed.

"How obvious are you about people Dan?"

I sat, wondering what she meant. I didn't much like riddles.

I sat up, crossing my legs, twiddling with my fingers in my lap.

I just shrugged as a sort of 'I don't know'.

"Fine let me reword that. How obvious are you about Phil, Dan?" She questioned, smirking at my slightly flushed face.

Did Phil tell her that we kissed? Man that kiss..... NO! Reality Dan.

"I don't know what you mean Mrs Lest-"
"Lisa"
"I'm not sure I can answer your question Lisa because I'm ever so tired, please can we go over this tomorrow?" I smiled weakly trying to convince her.

I didn't want to talk to her until I had spoken to Phil.

*Time skip to lé morning*

Phil's POV.

I wake up by a pillow being swatted in my face.

"Get up Lester, breakfast" Dan. Only Dan is this excited to get up in the morning.

I huffed in reply and rolled onto my stomach. Then a murmur came from my mouth, something along the lines of 'no.'

"Fine" He giggled. Oh no, what's he-.

"Oow Dan! Get off you're heavy" I looked up to see Dan pouting down at me while straddling my hips.

"That's just rude Phil" Even still, he made no effort to move off of me.

"Get off Dan, please?"
"Make me Lester" He smirked evilly.

I pulled his head down by the neck and fit his warm, soft lips to my cold ones.

To say he was surprised would be an understatement, but then he started to kiss back. (Don't get too excited guys, this is me we're talking about. Innocent Philip Lester.)

"Well it's a change to walk into this instead of cuddling" We pulled apart quickly and Dan nearly fell off the bed, we turned to look at mum who was smirking at our flushed faces.

"Mum! Why didn't you knock?!" I say, panicked not meeting her eyes.

"I think this is why Phil and plus like I said, I was talking to you both today anyway. Now just seems like a good time to talk"

*Time skip - 1 week*

"So, excited for the dinner party tonight Danny?" He looked at me puzzled.
"Danny? Really, Philly?" He giggled turning back to fix his tie.

Mum and Dad had this get together every year, but this is Dan's first time going and I'm of course just telling him how boring it's going to be and how we'll be the only teens there so we could easily sneak off instead of staying there.

But of course, Dan's dampening it all. Instead of 'how boring it's going to be', he's determined to make it fun;and instead of 'being the only teens there so we could sneak off', he's saying how we are representing the teenage generation these days.

"Dan, you look fine. Plus the dinner is in 3 hours so chill out okay?"
"Mmh okay" He said wrapping his arms around my waist, in reply I tucked mine behind his neck.
"Thank you cutie" He looked down at his feet and the ruby red blush was very visible across his cheeks.

I pulled my arms around from his neck to his chest and rested them lightly there.

"C'mon stressy betty, we better go help set up" I go to pull away from our embrace but he stops me.

"Wait a sec Lion" I blushed at the name, he hadn't used it for a while. I was about to speak up, when I rudely interrupted by him crushing his lips to mine. I smiled into the kiss and start to kiss him back for a few seconds. When we pulled away, he bounded down the stairs like a rabbit.

I chuckled and ran after him.

Dan's POV.

I'm not sure what just happened, I mean ever since that morning we've kissed loads and cuddled more than we used to. I'm not sure what we are yet but I hoped for it to be something soon.

"Hey, a little eager aren't we Dan?" Tim chuckled as I jumped into the living room breathlessly.

"Haha, no I just want to look presentable for tonight. I'm not sure why I ran down the stairs though" I grin, just as Phil crashed into me.

"Oww" He whined. "Baby-bear, why would you stop all of a-"

He stopped abruptly, I wasn't sure why at first but then I realised it was because his Dad was there.

"Oh afternoon Dad. Dan and I were coming down to help set up." He smiled, it faltered slightly but I know it was meant to be convincing.

"Baby-bear?" Tim chuckled leaving us both beet red standing in the living room.

We both coughed awkwardly.

"So should we help set up?" I mentioned after a few minutes of awkward silence.
"Sure!" He smiled as we moved into the kitchen, where Lisa and Tim were situated.

A/N Okay wow, I didn't expect to be writing tonight but oh well. This isn't the best chapter ever I'm sorry but I cba, and I quite like the idea of this chapter? IDK! Okay hope you enjoyed it :]
