I sighed as I flopped onto my bed, finally in my bedroom. My room was exactly the way it was a few days earlier. Closing my eyes, I covered myself with my comforter. It was Saturday, I had missed a few days of school, I doubt anyone noticed my absence. The alarm clock next to my bed flashed a new hour. It was one o'clock, I knew that my mother wouldn't be home for at least a few days. My desk seemed to be calling me.
At first, I ignored my longing to go over to my desk, but as the seconds slipped away into minutes I was unable to stop myself. With shaking hands, I opened my desk drawer and pulled out my box. Sitting criss-cross on my bed and sighing, I opened it and took out the blade. My breath caught in my throat as I dragged the razor across my wrist. I felt myself going numb as the blood dripped from my skin. The world slipped away until I heard a shout from outside my window.
I was feeling dizzy as I got off of my bed to see what the noise was. Stumbling to the window and looking out I saw Parker.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. I was feeling weak, but didn't want to show it.
"You haven't been at school, I was worried, and I brought your homework," he said with his goofy smile. "Can I come in?" he asked.
"Yah, sure. The front door is unlocked," I shut the window and rushed to clean up my mess. I was feeling weaker by the second and my head was spinning. Looking down, I noticed that my wrists were still steadily bleeding. I heard Parker coming up the stairs, but I couldn't keep myself up.
My vision went blurry and my legs went numb. I tried to yell out for Parker but no words came out, I was falling. I felt myself hit the ground and heard Parker coming but didn't have the strength to open my eyes. Parker came into my room and yelled my name, he held me as I slipped out of conciseness.
