♣Chapter 8♣ (UNEDITED)

Steve gave us a few minutes to get ready. I was wearing a black spandex with black boots. My black hair was in a french braid and I placed silver lip gloss on my pale lips. I heard footsteps making me turn around. Wanda was there...And she looked pretty.

"I came to...say sorry" Wanda said finally as I raised an eyebrow "You were right about Ultron... I guess my pain from losing my parents over clouded my judgement"

"Its fine" I said walking over to her and placing a hand on her shoulder "I felt that kind of pain to but we all have to be strong for the people we lost"

Wanda nodded before she spoke up again "You know, you interest me...alot...maybe even more than a friend" she said making me blush. Before I could react. She bend down and kissed me. Her lips were warm and soft and my heart exploded in color. My face was as red as a tomato. She pulled away with a smile.

"That felt nice to" she said breathless as we both panted for air.

"We gotta go" Steve called out making Wanda sigh.

"Come on" she said as she walked away before I raised my hand.

"Wait" 

As she turned around I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Promise me, you will make it out...please" I said, she smiled softly.

"I promise"

"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out." I remembered Steve saying that as I carefully lead 4 kids out of the city with there parents

"All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done, and find out what Ultron's been building. We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."

I looked up into the sky letting in all of the fresh air before I felt the ground shake. I flew up into the air before I felt the ground shake.

"Only shit" I whispered

"Do you see? The beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal." Ultron called out.

"Oh my god, get a hobby dude!" I yelled as I raised my hand and the flames burned 3 robots  before I landed on the ground. Using my fire element I burned every single robot near me. Suddenly I was tackled by another robot

"Alright, we're all clear here" Clint said on the communicator 

"Were not clear" Steve yelled

"Were are so very very not clear!" I said as I pushed the robot off of me and burned it to melted metal. I ran up behind Steve as I burned a robot's face off.

"Any news?"

"Stark may have found a way to stop the city from flying...but we have to make a choice" Steve said as we fought.

"We might have to make that choice Steve" I said sadly as I looked at him "We cant save everyone and we cant keep fighting forever. There's worse ways to go. Where else am I gonna get a view like this?"

"Glad you like the view, Astrid. It's about to get better." Fury said as I looked up and smirked. The Helicarrier was here. Really here. Fury, you are full of surprises. "Nice, right? I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do."

"Fury, you son of a bitch." Steve said with a smile

"Oooh! You kiss your mother with that mouth?" Fury asked as I nodded at Steve. Pietro ran next to me before he spoke.

"This is SHIELD?" he asked, I nodded.

"It what it supposed to be" I said as he smiled

"This is not so bad" he said as I nodded.

"Yea, but we have a job to do"
