Rossi and Hotch<3^^^^

The team boarded the jet to go home. They caught the guy and he was a pure creep. They had a long week and were thankful to head back home. Simon and Liz took their seats next to another and Rossi took the seat across from them.
Everyone else found their way to a seat and Reid claimed the couch. Soon enough they were all in their own worlds. Morgan listened to music, Hotch was working on paperwork, per usual, and Reid and JJ were asleep. Rossi, Simon and Liz stayed up talking quietly amongst each other.
"Have you talked to Aaron?" Rossi asked her.
"I tried." She didn't want to talk about this right now.
"And?" He quirked an eyebrow.
"And it doesn't matter."
"You don't seem to sure about that." Simon said.
"Well, I am. Can we not talk about him?"
The men rolled their eyes. "Fine." Rossi said. "Keep avoiding the topic and you definitely won't get anywhere."
"Listen," she started, now frustrated with their questioning, "thanks for trying to help, but I happen to be a big girl, I can handle it. Okay?"
"We never said you couldn't, were just not sure that you will." Simon replied.
"Just drop it, alright?!" Her voice raised. Aaron looked over at the noise.
"Everything alright?" He asked.
"Fine." She replied sarcastically.
Aaron turned back to his work.
"Someone's a little harsh." Rossi commented.
"You two are children." She referred to both Simon and Rossi. The two smiled at one another.
"We're just trying to help, kid." Simon explained.
"Well, like I said before I don't need it, but thanks." Silence fell between them and she was thankful they let it go, at least for now. She fell into a deep dreamless sleep.
Simon watched her as she slept. Trying to figure out how to get her to fix the issue that was clearly bothering her. He'd tried to do this many times before and she was to stubborn to listen to him. He rested his head on hers that was rested on his shoulder.
Rossi spoke at the action. "She used to sit like that with Aaron, when he brought her along."
Simon smiled. "She's mentioned it."
"Honestly Simon, the two of them need to work it out, six years is far to long, and you can tell they both miss each other. More than that, they need each other."
"I couldn't agree more Dave. I tried to tell her that the first time she told me about the two of them."
"I hope they figure it out soon. It actually hurts to see them miserable for so long. They think we can't see it, clearly they've forgotten who they work with."
Rossi relaxed in his seat and looked out the window for the rest of the flight. Simon eventually fell asleep as did Aaron.
When the plane landed they all met back in the BAU. "Good work guys, go home and get some rest, I'll see you all Monday, eight AM." Hotch said before dismissing them. He went up to his office, "Ryan can I speak to you please?"
Liz followed nervously behind him. He closed the door once she made it inside. "What?" She asked as if agitated.
"You mentioned lunch, it's still early enough for dinner if you'd like to do that instead?"
He remembered? She was very tired, and wasn't sure if she wanted to talk to him right now.
Before she could stop it she blurted, "yeah sounds good."
"I can drive if you'd like?"
"Um thanks but it'd be easier if I met you there."
"That's fine. The diner down the road okay?"
"That's fine. I'll see you in a bit."
"Okay." He said.
She walked back down to her desk to find Simon in her chair. "What was that about?" He questioned.
"Dinner."
He shot her a curious look. "Dinner?"
"To talk." She clarified.
"Oh. Yeah. Sure, talk."
"What?"
"An hour ago you couldn't stand him, now you're going out to dinner with him."
"An hour ago I told you I would handle it, I'm handling it."
"Okay. Keep me posted?"
"Always. Now go home and get some rest."
"Alright. Goodnight kiddo." He kissed the top of her head.
"Goodnight."
"Have fun, be safe." He teased.
"Stopp!" She retaliated.
She left shortly after he did and pulled into the Diner parking lot. Aarons car was already parked outside. This should be interesting.
