The weekend passed and on Saturday Jack, Liz, and Aaron spent the day at the park. It was simple but they had fun.
Monday rolled around and everyone shuffled into work. Liz came in for the first time in a long while rather happy and content. She could see Hotch at his desk in his office, she sat quietly watching him, until JJ pulled her from her thoughts. "Liz?" JJ waved her hand in front of Liz's face.
"Sorry, what's up?" Liz said turning to JJ.
"Why don't you tell me." JJ said laughing. "You've been staring up there for nearly ten minutes."
"Just lost in thought."
"I can see that, Wanna talk about it?"
Liz laughed. "There's nothing to talk about."
"Suure." JJ replied sarcastically. "If you change your mind let me know."
"Sure thing."
Hotch came from his office looking like he had something to say. Sure enough he did. "We have a case." He announced.
Everyone made their way to the conference room. Liz sat down in her usual seat next to Simon. Then Hotch sat on her other side. He made a point to smile at her. It didn't go unnoticed though and Rossi immediately shot Simon an unsure look. Simon only nodded, suggesting he'd catch Rossi up later.
This time they were staying local for a case with missing high school kids. Hotch assigned them each a task. "Rusk and JJ visit the school, talk to anyone with a close relation with the victims. Reid and Morgan visit the crime scenes. Liz, Rossi and I will go visit the families."
Everyone turned to Hotch at Liz's name. It was unusual for him to call anyone by their first name, let alone Liz. It'd been awhile since any of them had heard it. Hotch looked up to catch everyone's eyes on him.
"What?" He questioned.
"Nothing, nothing at all." Rossi dismissed it.
They split up and headed to their locations.
Liz sat in the back of the SUV listening too Rossi and Hotch talk quietly up front. Discussing nothing important just small talk about their weekends.
"So are you two going to tell me whats going on?" Rossi asked suddenly.
Hotch looked and caught Liz's eyes in the rearview mirror and she sent him a small smile.
"Nothing." Hotch reassured Rossi.
"You sure?" Rossi turned to Liz.
"Positive." She smiled.
They made their way to the first family's house.
The day went slowly as did the week. Turned out the unsub was woman, needless to say they caught her and found the latest victim alive.

Liz spent the next few weekends with Jack and Aaron; mostly spent watching movies or going to the park. She liked it. Aaron did too. They both found themselves falling more and more in love with the other, yet neither of them said a word about it. They were happy to be rekindling their relationship. Jack too loved the time they all spent together happy that they could all spend time together. They kept it strictly friends though, though both secretly wanted more.
Things seemed to be going smoothly and neither wanted to ruin it. Liz told Simon everything, who of course, told her to tell Aaron, and Rossi and the team were beginning to grow more and more suspicious of the two. Liz wanted to confront Aaron, to get him to open up more. She wanted too, and she was going too.
