I watched as Murphy left my sight, and then turned to walk back to camp. When I finally got there I see people awake, more than there was before I left, rambling through tents. Next thing I know I hear my name being shouted from behind me. My heart jumped at the sudden outburst that had startled me. I turn around with my hand on my chest to see who had called out. It was Jasper and Monty. They come running up to me and hug me tightly for more that usual. They were panting and out of breathe.
"Guys, this is nice and all, but-"
"Where were you?!" Jasper shouted. "We thought something happened to you!" Monty adds.
"I'm fine guys. Shouldn't all of you be sleeping, it's been a long day?"
"We were, but Miller said that he couldn't find you anywhere, we got worried. Don't try to change the subject, Aurora. We were just about to go out looking for you." Jasper explains.
"Don't you two dare go outside of these gates, this late at night, okay?" They nod their heads lightly. "Now, thank you guys for caring, but I'm perfectly fine, so you guys can go back to bed. And don't worry too much, you'll get wrinkles." I say with a small giggle, they smile back and give me one last hug before going off. As they walk away I see what looked like a shooting star, like the ones I read about in books; but it suddenly started catching fire and I was heading straight here. When it came closer it almost looked like a...pod. The boys had stopped in their tracks noticing the pod in the sky, they both look at me and Octavia come running towards me.
"What is that?" she asked
"I don't know yet. But get the others to calm down." Seeing as almost everyone at camp had seen the thing flying through the air, there was loud whispers and confusion amongst their conversations. I walk off to go get Bellamy. As I got to his tent, walking in, only to see him, unclothed, lying in bed with two girls around his arms. I grab his shirt on the ground by the table and throw it at him, walking him up. "Get dressed." I told him a walked out.
Seeing him with those girls brought a heavy weight onto my chest. It was like I was drowning but I couldn't pull myself up from under the water. I have feelings for him but I can't not risk getting distracted, so I push him away, I was even the one to tell him to do so, so why do I care so bloody much?
Bellamy walked out in the midst of putting his shirt on. "What's..." he stops once he sees that everyone is looking up and sees the pod coming closer.
He immediately tenses up, but quickly tries to hide it. "It looks like a pod from the Ark." I say. A group had huddled around Octavia and the boys. The two girls that were in Bellamy's tent soon followed us out with sheets covering themselves.
"Please tell me they brought down some shampoo." The brunette says. I just roll my eyes, not even caring to look her direction.
"Meeting." I say to Bellamy and walk towards the tent. Soon I was meet by Bellamy and Octavia. A couple of Bellamy's guys come in and one speaks up. "If it cleared the ridge, it's probably near the lake."
"We should get moving. Everyone's ready." Octavia suggested.
Bellamy quickly interrupts. "No one's going anywhere. Not while it's dark, it isn't safe." Octavia tries to protest but I cut in;
"He's right. We'll head out at first light."
Bellamy orders his boys to go spread the word. As Bellamy is about to leave with them, Octavia steps in front of her brother blocking the way.
"Everyone for 100 miles saw that thing come down. What if the grounders get to it first? Bell, we should go now." She tells him.
"I said 'no', we wait until sunrise." Bellamy says in a low voice and storms out of the tent.
