(Lauren on the side)

Monday rolled around quickly. I had gotten my car fixed and I was now driving to school along with Reagan and Lauren.

"So how do you think he'll act at school today?" Reagan asked.

I sighed and turned the radio up louder. Reagan sighed and turned the radio off completely.

"Come on Kali, it's obviously bothering you. Why won't you talk to us about it?" Reagan asked.

"He's just pissing me off. I don't need his shit." I said raising my voice. "And I don't need you two badgering me! Just leave it alone!"

"Kali, that's enough. We are just trying to help. You're making it worse by pushing it off." Lauren shot back.

I scoffed and turned my radio up.

"Kali." Lauren said sternly.

I continued to turn the radio up louder and block the noises out.

Reagan turned it down again.

"I cannot believe you right now. You get pissed off when Nathan pushes you away and shuts down but you do the exact same thing! You are such a hypocrite!" Lauren yelled.

I pulled into the schools parking lot and took the key out of the ignition.

"I don't want to talk about this, what do you not understand?" I yelled.

I grabbed my backpack and got out of my car, making my way towards the schools entrance.

I walked down the hallway and saw someone standing at my locker. As I got closer my fists clenched.

"Get the fuck away from my locker Nathan." I hissed. "What's wrong with you?" He asked looking seriously confused.

"Do you not recall the way you treated me in Friday?" I asked in shock.

Nathan let out a sigh. "Look, I realize what I did and how I handled the situation was uncalled for. I know I told you how I was sorry and it wouldn't happen again but I just get so," he pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed again. "Listen Kali, I'm trying to work on my anger and I just need help."

My eyes softened.

The way he treated me was unacceptable but he truly looks sorry. I'm not saying I forgive him, but I can't push him out of my life anymore.

"I don't forgive you for the way you treated me Nathan." I stated. He sighed.

"But I'm trying." I smiled.

"Come to my house for dinner tonight." He said.

"Nathan, you need to realize how I feel. I won't tolerate the way you treat me. It's not happening. And I mean it this time Nathan, you screw this up and I'm done."

He nodded his head. "So will you come to my house for dinner?" He asked.

I sighed. "Yes."

A small smile grew on his face. "Great."

I was in my last hour of the day, English. Chase and I were sitting in the back while Reagan and Lauren says in the front. They are still mad at me for how I treated them this morning. I don't blame them.

"Still mad at you huh?" Chase whispered. I nodded.

"They'll get over it. Do you want me to talk to them about it?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I don't know."

"Chase Matthews, Kali Daniels. Would you like to share with the class what you were talking about?" Mrs. Green said.
