"Kali, darling wake up." My mom shook me gently. I let out a low groan and turned away from her. "Kali, Nathan's here." She said.

I jumped up quickly. "It's 10:30!" I yelled. My mom looked taken back and how quickly I jumped up. "Yes Kali and Nathan is waiting downstairs."

I got up out of my bed and ran into my bathroom. My hair was sticking out in a very unattractive way, that had to be fixed. I brushed through my hair and threw it up in a bun. I grabbed my toothbrush and began to brush my teeth.

"I'll be downstairs Kali." My mom said on the opposite side of the door. "Okay," I had said, well at least tried because my mouth was sort of occupied with a toothbrush and a shitload of toothpaste.

I finished brushing my teeth and went back to my room. I slipped off my pajama shorts and pulled on a pair of dark blue jean shorts. I went to my closet and picked out a pink sports bra from Nike and a black muscle tank top that had a quote from Bob Marley written across it.

I put on my white converse and grabbed my over the shoulder purse, grabbed my phone and wallet and made my way downstairs to where Nathan was playing a game on the Xbox with Chris and Blake.

"Ready to go Nathan?" I asked. His head snapped over to me and smiled. "Yeah, we'll leave in a minute."

He turned back to Chris and Blake. "Alright boys, I got to go now." Nathan spoke. "Awww why?" They both asked. "I need to talk to your beautiful sister about something important." He replied.

"Why? She's boring to talk to." Chris mumbled. "Hey!" I yelled. They all laughed and Nathan got up off of the ground. "I'll see you boys later." Nathan said.

He walked over to me and held out his hand. I hesitated but in the end I took his offer.

We made our way outside and got into his car. "Where would you like to go?" He asked. "Maybe the diner?" I suggested. "Sure," He smiled. Nathan turned his key and pulled out of the driveway. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the diner.

We both got out of the car and made our way in.

"Where would you like to sit?" He asked. "Maybe over there." I pointed to a booth in the back of the Diner next to a big window that over looked the city.

He nodded his head, grabbed my hand and pulled me over towards the table.

A couple minutes later a middle aged women came over and handed us some menu's and two glasses of water.

"Nathan is that you?" The lady asked. Nathan looked up and a smile rose on his face. "Hey Melissa, I didn't know you worked here." "Yeah, have been for years." The lady smiled.

"Oh, Melissa, this is Kali." Nathan said looked over towards me. "Hi," I smiled. "I'm Kali."

"The famous Kali," Melissa smiled. "Nathan, your mom has told me loads about her." She said. Nathan shook his head and smiled. "My mom and Melissa go way back." Nathan told me. "I can see that." I laughed.

"So, anyways, what would you two like to eat?" Melissa asked. "Can you give us a few minutes?" Nathan asked. "Of course," She smiled and walked away.

We both looked over the menu's in silence.

"You wanted to take me here to talk, you're not talking." I laughed. "I just," He sighed. "I don't know what to say, I told you almost everything I feel towards you and all you really said was 'I don't know' to almost everything." He said. It was true I did say that line a lot but I really didn't know what to say, he tells me how he feels, but part of me thinks he's just going to hurt me in the end, again.
