18. Hillary

"Hillary." Nathan breathed.

"Nathan, hi." Hillary smiled slightly. "Hey."

"Hi." She repeated.

Quite a vocabulary they got there.

"Listen, about what happened-"

"No Hillary. I don't want to hear it. You have no right to be here whatsoever. I need you to leave." Nathan pulled me closer to his chest and wrapped his arms around my torso.

"Nate, I'm not leaving till I get to explain what happened." Hillary tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled tightly.

"It happened three years ago. I don't need to hear why it happened. I don't care. I've moved on and I don't need you ruining what I've built up. You pushed me down once and I'm not gonna let you do it again. Just leave." Nathan words came out cold, more then he meant probably.

Hillary moved forward and placed her hand on his bicep. Nathan pulled away instantly as if she was burning him. "Don't."

"Nate please just let me explain." Hillary pleaded. "I can't do this, not now. I- uh- I have to go." Nathan unwrapped his arms from me, bowed his head down and walked out.

I turned on my heels to face Hillary. "Why are you here? Breaking Nathan once just isn't enough for you?" I crossed my arms over my chest and glared.

"Fuck off Daniels." Hillary scowled.

Oh hell no.

I took a step forward invading Hillary's person space. "You're on my property and if you disrespect me one more time it'll ruin you, just like Nathan did."

Hillary moved forward pushing me backwards. "You don't scare me Kali. You're nothing. Your parents probably wanted to burn in that fire just so they could get away from your sorry ass."

My breath caught in my throat. She's gone too far this time.

"Too far Hillary. Too far." Without thinking about what was going on I pushed her against the wall, smashing her head against it time after time.

"Messing with me is one thing, but bringing my parents into this is too far!" I pushed her down onto the ground and climbed on top of her. "Smashing your head into the wall was for me, but this is for someone else.

Before I had the chance to do what I was planning on I was lifted up and placed behind someone's body.

I looked up to see Chase looking down at me, smiling. "Get out of the way Chase." I tried moving around him but he lifted me up again and placed me back where I was standing.

"No more Kali. I saw what you did and I'm pretty sure she has a concussion."

"I don't give a fuck if she has a concussion, she brought my parents into this! I'm not gonna stand around and let her say shit!"

"Get off of me!" I looked over Chase' shoulder and saw Cody trying to help Hillary up.

"Calm the fuck down, I'm just trying to help you up. God damn. You know what never mind good luck with that concussion." Cody dropped Hillary's arm and walked over to Chase and I.

"Nice job Kal, she deserved that." Cody brought his hand up in the air waiting for me to highfive him.

I laughed and slapped his hand. "Shall we kick her out of my house?" I asked. Cody linked his arm with mine and smiled. "We shall."

We walked over towards Hillary and saw her wiping blood off of her nose.

"Get away from me Kali." She backed away until she hit the wall.

"I'm gonna tell you once and only once." I took one step forward with Cody right behind me. "If you're not off of my property in 60 seconds your head will be in the wall."

A look of fear washed over Hillary's face. She turned away from us and quickly ran for the door.

"Well that was easy." I laughed. "You're way more intimidating than I would have ever thought." Cody chuckled.

"Thanks I guess." I laughed. Cody slung his arm around my shoulder and walked with me towards the kitchen. "You know we've never really talked." Cody said.

I thought about it. "Damn, you're right." I laughed uneasily. "But I mean Nate called dibs...gotta respect the bro code."

I shook my head and laughed.

"Want another drink Kal? Cody?" Chase asked us.

"Sure." We both said.

I looked around and frowned. "Where's Lauren?" I asked.

"I don't know, she ran after Nathan after he walked out of the house, haven't seen her since." Chase shrugged.

My heart dropped. Lauren? Chased after Nathan? My Nathan?
